There are many, many weight loss methods, for every taste and color. Some dieters listen to the advice of nutritionists and lose weight slowly, over several months. And others need to get rid of annoying kilograms quickly - for example, to lose weight for a holiday or the first days of vacation. A 12-day diet is a healthier alternative to losing weight in 2-3 days.
The essence of the 12-day diet is twelve mono-diets, one day for each. This way of eating is also called consecutive fasting days. Let's say right away that this way of eating is not easy to tolerate: judging by the reviews, not many people can withstand all 12 days of the new diet.
What is the proposed method of losing weight?
- Judging by numerous comments, the 12-day diet allows you to lose about 10 kg of excess weight. The results will be visible on the third day of dietary nutrition.
- Before starting a diet, it is important to make sure that there are no contraindications: these are diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the liver and urinary system, as well as infectious diseases.
- It is believed that the 12-day period is easier to bear in the fall or winter.
- The diet requires strict adherence to the menu and some rules: do not eat food three hours before the expected sleep, drink at least 2 liters of liquid, do not add salt or sweeten food.

- We repeat the menu of the third day.

It is not recommended to repeat the 12-day diet more than 4 times a year. For more effective weight loss, it is advisable to do light gymnastics, walk in the fresh air every day (at least twice for half an hour).
What can you eat while on a diet?
- It is necessary to strictly follow the daily menu, in addition to which only water, herbal teas and one tablespoon of any vegetable oil per day are allowed (flaxseed, sesame, grapeseed are preferable, but sunflower oil will also do).
What shouldn't you eat?
- You cannot eat any foods that are not included in the diet menu.
The exit from the diet is gradual
- you can't pounce on food right away;
- you should eat little by little, every 3 hours;
- During the first week after finishing the diet, it is not recommended to consume fatty meats, lard, cream, as well as fried foods and sweets;
- Instead of the last meal, you can drink 200 ml of fresh kefir with a crouton.
What are the benefits of the 12-day diet?
There is no need to search for low-calorie recipes and cook food.
- The menu is simple, without frills.
- Alternating plant, carbohydrate and protein foods helps maintain metabolic processes in the body.
- The results can be seen almost immediately, and over the entire period of limited nutrition, a loss of 7-8 to 15 kg of excess weight is allowed.
Reviews of the twelve day diet
The diet is not as simple as it seems at first glance. Therefore, if you are determined to steadfastly endure all the prescribed days, then you need to know a few rules based on reviews:
- put away sugar and salt to avoid the temptation to add them to food;
- find a friend or a weight loss buddy: together it will be easier to endure the hardships of a limited diet;
- if you find it difficult to eat three times a day, then you can try dividing the estimated amount of permitted product into five or more meals;
- do not forget to drink water, as this will help to avoid the constant feeling of hunger, and will also additionally cleanse the body;
- clearly define for yourself the incentive to lose weight - this helps you stick to the diet until the victorious end;
- it is psychologically easier if you weigh yourself not every day, but, for example, once every 3-4 days;
- During a diet, it is important to get enough sleep and not overwork yourself, because dietary restrictions are a lot of stress for the body, and there is no need to make it worse.
The 12-day diet may seem too strict for some. Therefore, before you start following it, consider your body's capabilities and health, and make sure that you are not physically or mentally overloaded on the expected days of the diet. It is good if one of your friends or relatives supports you - this will help you reach your desired goal faster and better.
