Diet with constipation during pregnancy is a rationally organized regimen aimed at providing the body with vitamins, as well as all the necessary microelements and nutrients.

Unfortunately, many women in the period of bearing a child face such a problem as untimely bowel movement.

Diet with constipation during pregnancy implies compliance with the following dietary rules:

  • Eating five to six times a day. Avoidance between the main meals of long breaks (more than 4 hours).
  • Cooking only in boiled or baked form, as well as "steamed".
  • Inclusion in the daily diet of fresh vegetables (raw), fruits (dried fruits) and berries.
  • Refusal from all kinds of dishes that slow down the normal peristalsis of the intestine - colds, jellies, kissels, jellies, etc.
  • Sufficient use of liquid (not less than 1.5-2 liters per day), including mineral water of the Essentuki type (3 times a day for 0.5 cups).

For constipation caused by malnutrition, hypodynamia, and various intestinal diseases in chronic form, future mothers should carefully follow the diet. Such a food system includes foods, especially those rich in dietary fiber, which do not irritate the gastric mucosa and cause flatulence.

Diet with atonic constipation during pregnancy

When pregnant atopic constipation is observed in pregnant women, it is necessary to build a diet with increasing dietary fiber (cellulose, cellulose, ballast substances), the main function of which is the adsorption of water, which normalizes the intestinal peristalsis. Among foods that contain fiber, in the first place are food bran, the second place is occupied by vegetables (especially apples, carrots), and the third - rye bread. To provide the body with a sufficient amount of fiber, a pregnant woman should adhere to such a daily diet: 200 grams of bread (with bran, coarsely ground), 200 grams of boiled potatoes, 250 grams of fruit and vegetables a day. In total, this will give a daily dose (35 grams) of ballast substances that the body needs.

Future mothers are recommended to eat up to 30-40 grams of wheat bran every day. To do this, they must first be burned with boiling water. Bran can be taken as a supplement to liquid dishes, as well as in a mixture with yogurt or yoghurt. It is recommended to start the reception with 4 parts of this product a day, gradually increasing the dose by 1 tsp. Until the functional properties of the intestine are fully restored. After achieving the desired effect and complete recovery of peristalsis, the dosage of bran should be gradually reduced to the minimum that is set individually. Use bran recommended for 5-6 weeks, combining this process with sufficient fluid intake.

To activate the intestines, prospective mothers need to bring in their daily diet fresh fruits, berries and vegetables (about 200 g), which should preferably be taken in raw form. Good helps dried apricots, honey, as well as crumbly porridge. Useful for the gastrointestinal tract of bread, made from finely divided grains or with the addition of bran. Favorable bowel function is also promoted by fasting with mineral or ordinary filtered water, as well as a glass of cold milk or vegetable juice, which reflexively improves intestinal peristalsis.

Diet during pregnancy, aimed at getting rid of spastic constipation, often manifested in the form of colic pain in the abdomen, includes food with a low content of coarse dietary fiber. In this case, the woman is recommended to eat boiled vegetables in a crushed or puree form, and also take vegetable oil (1-2 tablespoons a day - on an empty stomach or at night, with a glass of low-fat kefir). Dishes from low-fat meat and fish must be grinded, or steamed. To reduce intestinal spasms, it is necessary to add to the diet products that contain "tender" fiber, for example, dried fruits.

Pregnant women who suffer from frequent constipation, it is recommended to regularly eat prunes in any form, including dried fruit puree or infusion.
