During pregnancy, changes occur in the woman's body, and this is normal, since vitamins and microelements, including calcium, are needed to form a new living organism. During pregnancy, not only does hair fall out, but teeth and nails also deteriorate. During pregnancy, you should not worry too much about the problem of hair, since after childbirth, the woman's condition will normalize and everything will be as before.

But, nevertheless, for preventive purposes it would not hurt to strengthen hair with vitamin masks and drink vitamins and calcium. As masks during pregnancy it is not advisable to use cosmetics that are supposedly designed for hair restoration, since all these drugs get into the blood through the skin and affect the child. In this situation, it is better to use herbs and natural oils. A decoction of chamomile or burdock root is what you need during pregnancy. And castor and burdock oil will strengthen the hair roots.

If the situation with hair loss gets out of control, then you should seek help from a doctor, since the possibility of a hormonal imbalance caused by pregnancy cannot be ruled out.

What if hair falls out after pregnancy?

As mentioned above, hair loss can be caused by stress, lack of sleep, and overwork. And what kind of healthy rest can we talk about when there is a newborn in the house? This phenomenon can be attributed to the first reason regarding hair loss. The second factor is that for 9 months the woman's body got used to the new state, and after childbirth it is rebuilt again. Naturally, hormonal changes can become the source that caused hair loss. As a rule, this happens in the fourth month after childbirth.

Is it worth bothering about this? Of course, there are no serious reasons to worry. But a woman is a woman! And she always wants to be beautiful. In the old days, young mothers (and not only mothers) used raw eggs as shampoos, and kefir or whey as conditioners. If you decide to wash your hair with an egg, do not forget that it can boil in too hot water!

When does hair fall out after childbirth?

Many have heard that hair falls out after childbirth. This is especially common for nursing mothers. The fact is that during lactation, the child takes some microelements and vitamins from the mother along with milk. It would not hurt to drink vitamins D3, A, B during this period; do not forget about calcium and iron. You should not overdo it with vitamin C, as they can cause a rash in the child, for example, citrus fruits, and cabbage, which is also rich in vitamin C, can cause bloating.

If the woman who gave birth is not a nursing mother, and hair still falls out, then this is also not a critical situation, but a normal phenomenon. It is due to the fact that the woman's body after pregnancy is accustomed to a normal state. And at the moment of complete adaptation, the hair problem will resolve itself. But if there is no strength and patience to wait for absolute normalization, then you can use balms, folk remedies and take vitamins.

  • 1/3 cup burdock root pour 1 cup boiling water. Let it brew for about 1 hour. Strain the resulting decoction and use as a balm. The prepared product is intended for single use;
  • for this recipe you will need: 2 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers per 50 ml of water and an egg white. Chamomile is poured with boiling water. It is necessary to let it brew for 4 hours. Then the prepared liquid is filtered, only after that the yolk is added. The resulting mixture must be intensively whipped until foam is formed. The product is rubbed into the scalp with massaging movements. We keep the mask for 10 - 15 minutes and rinse the hair;
  • chamomile decoction. To prepare this potion, you need 3 tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers, 2 drops of lemon juice, half a glass of boiling water. The method of preparation is simple: pour boiling water over the chamomile flowers, cover with a lid, and let cool to room temperature. After that, the decoction is filtered and lemon juice is added. Thus, you have a homemade hair balm;
  • a potion with a very unpleasant smell, but with a good effect! For this you will need the following ingredients: freshly squeezed onion juice - 2 tablespoons, hot pepper - half a teaspoon, honey - a teaspoon, crushed garlic - a small "clove". Mix all this and rub into the scalp. You can't keep this mask on for too long, as garlic can cause a burning sensation. The set time is 30 minutes. But if the skin starts to "pinch" earlier, then you need to wash it off immediately. This recipe has contraindications: wounds or scratches on the scalp;
  • kefir lotion. The amount of kefir depends on the length and thickness of the hair. The proportions are as follows: 1 glass of kefir, 2 teaspoons of aloe juice. If this amount of liquid is too much for one session, then you can do it this way: half a glass of kefir and 1 teaspoon of aloe juice (in general, one to two). Lubricate already washed wet hair with the resulting lotion, not forgetting about the scalp. This same product can be applied to the eyebrows. Hair should be washed off after 30 minutes, later, but not earlier.
