Masks are the most common in home facial skin care. There are masks for different skin types. Many women consider masks to be less effective than creams, and this is completely in vain. If you make a mask correctly and use it regularly, the positive result will not take long to come.

The purpose of using masks is as follows: they activate metabolic processes in the skin, nourish, soften, tone the skin. There is a mask that relieves eye fatigue, tension, and restores youth and a healthy color to the skin. The masks contain natural components containing vitamins, microelements, and mineral salts. Masks will give an even greater healing effect if used in courses, that is, 2-3 masks per week. In total, you can do 12-15 masks per month.

The mask is always applied to cleansed skin. If it is dry, you can first lightly lubricate it with cream. Women with oily skin should first wash their face or wipe it with lotion, then apply the mask. At a more mature age, before applying the mask, you can wipe your face with diluted wine, juices, milk, herbal infusion or salted water. Compresses with decoctions of medicinal herbs (mint, linden, chamomile) are also recommended. These procedures will cleanse the skin and prepare it for applying the mask.

A thick mask can be applied to the face using a special spatula. If there is none or it is inconvenient, it is not forbidden to use your fingers. If the mask is liquid, it is applied to the skin with a cotton swab. You can use a piece of gauze folded in 2-3 layers. It is necessary to cut holes for the eyes and nostrils, soak it in the solution, and then apply it to the face and neck.

Apply the medicinal composition along the skin lines from the bottom up and hold for 15-30 minutes. After applying the mask, do not talk or smile. You can remove the mask with a cotton swab, soaking it in water or lemon juice diluted with water. You can simply wash it off with warm water.

You should not keep the mask on longer than the specified time, especially if the composition dries and forms a hard crust on the face. An exception is a paraffin mask with added oil and bodyagi, or, in other words, a "black" mask. In other cases, increasing the duration of the procedure can have the opposite effect: the skin stretches, a feeling of fatigue arises.

Masks are applied according to the season, age and skin condition. There are many masks: they can be nourishing, toning, degreasing, softening, soothing, drying and others.

Remember that lemon juice whitens the skin and tightens facial pores, salt reduces swelling, honey stimulates and refreshes the skin. Apples also restore the skin's fresh appearance and rejuvenate it. Sauerkraut is very useful for acne and oily skin.

Yeast treats acne and gives elasticity. Olive oil is an essential component of many cosmetic formulations, it smoothes out premature wrinkles.
