Plastic massage has a very strong effect on the tissue, resulting in improved lympho-, blood circulation, strengthens muscle tissue, increases the turgor of the skin.
Plastic massage consists of 4 basic techniques: stroking, kneading, effleurage, vibration - produced by massage lines. Most of the movements are the same as in classical massage. The main difference is in kneading - this is the main method in plastic massage. There are superficial and deep kneading. Movements are made continuously in a circle back and forth, with the skin and soft tissues being pressed against the bones, but in no case shifting the skin. The purpose of kneading is to affect the muscle fibers. With the help of kneading, blood flow improves, and, consequently, nutrition and metabolism in muscles. E classic hygiene massage kneading is more superficial, sliding, so the impact on the muscles is less pronounced. Differences exist in the implementation of "staccato" and vibration. They are carried out quickly and vigorously. Vigorous vibration has an exciting effect on the nervous system, and light vibration - inhibitory. Thus, with plastic massage, vibration stimulates the contractile ability of muscles and improves the trophism of the tissue. Vibration during cosmetic massage is light, superficial, short in time and has a retarding effect.
Plastic massage is performed on talcum powder. It is known that to obtain a pronounced thermal, mechanical and reflex effects, no massage oil or cream is used. Talc provides tight adhesion of the hands of the beautician to the skin of the patient, this makes it possible, depending on the reception and the strength of the massage movement, to effect the tissues deep enough.
Appointment
Duration of plastic massage, together with a massage of the posterior surface of the neck - 20 min. The course of treatment is prescribed 15-20 procedures every other day or twice a week; at the end of the course of treatment - once every 7-10 days.
Methods of plastic massage:
- Stroking:
- stroking the main massage lines;
- stroking the anterior and lateral surfaces of the neck.
- Kneading:
- surface kneading;
- deep kneading of the muscles of the neck and face
- Beating (staccato).
- Vibration
Technique of carrying out of massage
I. The stroking is performed by the palm surface of the II-V with a finger
A. Stroking on the main massage lines (ends at the end with fixation):
- 1st line - stroking from the middle of the forehead to the temple;
- 2 nd line - from the bridge of the nose to the lower edge of the circular muscle of the eye to the temples;
- 3rd line - from the middle of the circular muscle of the mouth to the tragus of the auricle;
- The 4th line is from the middle of the chin to the exit of the facial nerve in the earlobe, from where the hands slide down to the side of the neck to the sternum and move to stroking the neck muscles in front.
B. Stroking the anterior and lateral surfaces of the neck - starts from the sternum and goes up the outer carotid artery. Fixation in the facial nerve. Stroking of the side surfaces of the neck - is made from the earlobe down the jugular vein until the middle of the collarbone and further to the deltoid muscle (to the shoulder). Stroking movements are done 3 times on each line and end with fixation. The score is 4.
2. Mening is made by the palm surface of the first and second phalanges of the II-V fingers from the middle of the chin. The movements are made strictly rhythmically, strong enough and go along the main massage lines spirally in the form of circles inscribed in each other. The score is 8 (the top of the circle counts to 4 and the bottom of the circle counts to 4). All transitional movements are made in the form of small dotted pressure by the terminal phalanges of the second and third fingers from the place of fixation to the place where the new movement begins.
A. Superficial kneading
- 1st movement - kneading starts from the middle of the chin and goes to the earlobe;
- 2-nd movement - from the middle of the circular muscle of the mouth, having treated it with pressure, to the tragus of the ear;
- 3rd movement - goes along the bottom of the circular muscle of the eye with pressing pressure on the region of the nose, where 2-3 circles are made, the score is 4;
- 4th movement - starts from the wings of the nose and goes to the temporal cavity along the lower edge of the circular muscle of the eye under the malar bone;
- 5th movement - kneading of the circular muscle of the eye, is made by pressing pressure in the form of a dotted line II, III, IV with fingers; the eyebrow is passed between the II-III fingers;
- 6th movement - kneading muscles of the forehead; is produced from the middle of the forehead to the temples (6-8 circles); transitional movement, pressing pressure on the lower edge of the circular muscle of the eye through the bridge of the nose to the middle of the forehead;
- 7th movement - kneading muscles of the neck; after kneading the forehead muscle (3 times) and fixing on the temples, it is necessary to descend along the lateral surface of the cheeks with circular pressing pressure to the angle of the lower jaw, and then go to the middle of the chin with dotted strokes and move on to the next movement;
- 8th movement - kneading muscles under the chin (submaxillary region) to the lobe 3 times;
- 9th movement - kneading of the side surfaces of the neck, is made from the angle of the lower jaw down the jugular vein until the collarbone, then the muscles of the subclavian region and sternum are kneaded;
- 10th movement - kneading from the sternum up along the anterolateral surface of the neck to the corner of the lower jaw; movement ends in fixation in the earlobe; then the dotted pressure must go to the middle of the chin, where the next movement begins.
B. Deep kneading of the muscles of the neck and face.
Produced on the same lines as the previous one. This movement is done almost all over the palm surface of the fingers and partially with the palm. Deep kneading, as well as superficial kneading, ends at the exit of the nerve - in the earlobe, from which it is necessary to cross the dotted strokes to the next movement to the middle of the chin.
- Beating (staccato).
A. Loop-like staccato.
It is carried out by circles, inscribed in each other, with the tips of all fingers on the same lines as stroking and kneading, and proceeds from the chin along the main massage lines upwards, then returns along the lateral surface of the face to the neck, chest and again to the middle of the chin.
B. "Staccato" straightened fingers.
From the middle of the chin, tapping ("staccato") on the main May sash lines with straightened fingers (just like in cosmetic massage, not circles), descending to the middle of the chin. "Staccato" straightened fingers on the neck area is not done. It ends at the ear of the ear and connects it to the chin area;
- Vibration.
It is produced by the entire palmar surface of the fingers along the same lines as the previous movements, and ends at the forehead area.
NB! Staccato and vibration are performed quickly and vigorously.
- Stroking the muscles of the face and neck.
- Massage the neck from behind.
