In our age of artificial nails, hair, breasts, food products - we want more and more naturalness. Natural masks have found good application in modern cosmetology and in everyday life. It is not difficult to make it yourself. One of the natural components is a tomato.
Benefits of tomatoes for skin
It is no secret that these vegetables contain a huge number of useful substances. The vitamins and minerals they contain are useful for any skin. What exactly are the benefits of tomatoes for the skin? A tomato face mask makes the skin softer, gives elasticity and freshness, and maintains a pleasant complexion. The beneficial properties of tomatoes depend on their degree of ripening. The riper the vegetable, the richer it is in vitamins. The substances contained in tomatoes stabilize digestion, reduce putrefactive processes in the intestines, thereby improving the condition of the skin. It has long been known that rashes and pimples on the skin can be a consequence of a malfunction of the gastrointestinal tract.
A tomato face mask will give your skin a beautiful color. The shine of oily skin will disappear, and dry skin will be moisturized. Tomato phytoncides are involved in the treatment of inflammatory processes caused by allergic reactions and skin rashes. Tomato has a unique property - preventing skin aging, due to the presence of zinc in its composition. This chemical element increases the ability of the epidermis to regenerate. In modern cosmetology, creams and lotions made from tomato extracts are used. However, they can hardly replace a natural mask made from juicy, ripe tomatoes.

Reviews of Tomato Face Masks
Nowadays it is difficult to surprise with any innovations, especially cosmetics. But there are girls who, after reading the material, left the following reviews about tomato face masks:
"I've been using cosmetics for so many years, and it never occurred to me to make my own natural tomato mask. And this despite all my love for this vegetable," - Alena, 42.
"Ever since my teenage years, I had problem skin: large pores and acne. Baby creams and anti-inflammatory drugs didn't really help then. However, in the summer, these problems became significantly less. Firstly, the sun, and secondly, I really liked to smear the remains of a tomato on my face. I still use this mask," - Oksana, 27 years old.
"All this is great, but one thing must be taken into account. Tomatoes sold in hypermarkets, especially in winter, are stuffed with nitrates and do not have useful properties. Therefore, the effect of the mask can be in the case of using home (ground) tomatoes in season," Marina.
However, there are also opponents of natural masks:
"It is possible that the raw yolks included in the mask may contain infectious microorganisms. And it is unknown what the result of applying such a mask may be? And we should not forget about allergic reactions to substances included in tomatoes," Zhanna.
Many people – many opinions. One thing can be said with absolute certainty, it is difficult to talk about something until you experience it yourself. But for now it is known that tomatoes are vegetables that are good both fresh and pickled.
