The word "cosmetics" in translation from Greek means the art of decorating. Even in ancient times, cosmetics of plant origin were used not only to give the skin of the face and body a certain color, freshness and beauty, but also to prevent its fading.

We all want one thing: to live as long as possible, to maintain good health, endurance, activity, beauty of our body, to be happy and create conditions for a happy life.

Approximately 50% of our health depends on our lifestyle, 20% on the influence of various environmental factors, another 20% on the biological characteristics and properties of each human organism, including heredity, and only 10% on medical care.

Nowadays, in the age of mechanization and transport, especially city dwellers do not lead an active physical life, and this leads to disruption of metabolic processes in the body, the rhythmic work of the heart, lungs, digestion, balance of the nervous system and skin. Therefore, move as much as possible, use every opportunity to walk or run at least 8-10 km per day on average.

We also live in the age of chemistry, we are surrounded by chemicals: we walk on asphalt, wear synthetic clothes, use polyethylene, plastics, we are treated with chemicals, to which our body is not indifferent, especially with their long-term use, they often cause allergic reactions.

Over the past 20 years, the medical world has begun to talk about the importance of medicinal products of plant and biological origin.

It should be noted that diseases and cosmetic defects of the skin arise as a reaction to irritating factors of the external environment and can be a consequence of damage and dysfunction of internal organs and systems: metabolism, diseases of the endocrine glands, diseases of the circulatory system, gastrointestinal tract, age-related changes and other factors.

That is why cosmetology, as a science, relies on the achievements of related sciences: therapy, endocrinology, gerontology, dermatology, physiology, dietetics, etc.

In a sick person, the painful condition is reflected first of all on the face. The skin of the face ages quickly in people with liver, stomach and intestinal tract diseases. Patients suffering from constipation have a gray, earthy complexion.

A fresh, cheerful face is a mirror of health. Beauty and health are closely interrelated. Beauty can be maintained not only by cosmetics, but also by regularly eating fresh vegetables and fruits. Many appearance defects depend on a lack of vitamins and microelements.

For example, vitamin deficiency:

A - (retinol) causes so-called night blindness (hemeralopia), dry skin, hair loss, brittle hair and oily seborrhea, and even creams will not help with the unhealthy appearance of the skin;

B1 - (thiamine) - headache, fatigue, feeling of exhaustion and muscle weakness, digestive tract disorders, nervous system and brittle nails.

B2 - (riboflavin) - rapid eye fatigue, decreased visual acuity, photophobia, cracks in the corners of the mouth, seborrhea, freckles and age spots.

C - (ascorbic acid) - its deficiency reduces immune strength, resistance, loss of appetite, feeling of fatigue, bleeding gums, pale complexion, softening of nails.

Vitamin therapy for premature aging and for the prevention of aging of the body in general and skin in particular is of decisive importance. Hence the conclusion: eat more fresh vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins, organic salts, sulfur and iron (i.e. carrots, celery, spinach, parsley, onions and garlic, cucumbers).

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that vitamin B1 is contained only in coarse flour, and in products made from white flour there is almost none.

Iron - has a great influence on the purity and freshness of the skin. Contained in meat, cucumbers, raspberries, gooseberries, cherries, apples, as well as spinach and red cabbage.

Sulfur - found in spinach, onions, beets, cucumbers and pears.

Magnesium salts - give elasticity to muscles and tendons, found in cherries, gooseberries, spinach, radishes and lemons.

Phosphorus - important for physical and mental stress. Contained in white and cauliflower, cucumbers and radishes.

It should be taken into account that mental and physical overstrain significantly increases the need for vitamins and microelements. The daily requirement for vitamins and microelements is compensated by taking 100 g of honey. Of course, it is better for them to enter the body from various products.

Vitamins taken in pill form are considered as an emergency aid when your body needs urgent support. Rosehip infusion, blackcurrant berries, lemon, fresh cabbage salad, other vegetables and fruits, all of this is more useful than vitamin tablets.

Eleutherococcus is a valuable tonic drug; it quickly restores energy and sleep, increases mental and physical performance, normalizes the activity of the endocrine glands, and, accordingly, metabolism.

Biologically active bee products have found wide application, they are strong adaptogens. In cosmetology, the systemic use of honey, royal jelly and pollen plays a particularly important role. These bee products enrich our body with nutrients, vitamins, enzymes, microelements, amino acids and, in the complex treatment of various diseases, improve the body's resistance, create a feeling of vigor, emotional work mood, allow to reduce the intake of chemical drugs and, in some cases, cancel them.

All of the above fully applies to pollen brought by bees, which is also called pollen.

Pollen contains the necessary complex of B vitamins. There is 20 times more vitamin A in pollen than in carrots. Pollen contains 27 microelements, 20 amino acids, including 10 essential amino acids that cannot be synthesized in the body and are supplied only with food. Two teaspoons of pollen provide a person's daily need for amino acids.

For preventive purposes, pollen is taken one teaspoon (15 grams) twice a day, and for therapeutic purposes it is necessary to take 25-30 g twice a day. Pollen is taken before meals, chewing well. If there is no diabetes, then for the best effect it is recommended to take pollen with an equal amount of honey.

The course of taking pollen is carried out for a month, if necessary, repeated after a quarter.
