For the prevention of infectious complications in the preoperative and postoperative periods, when more than 500-700 ml of adipose tissue is removed, antibiotics are prescribed according to standard schemes. Infusion therapy is carried out with the evacuation of more than 2000 ml of aspirating contents.

Liposuction in two or four zones can be performed on an outpatient basis (in the absence of disturbances in the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of the patient). More extensive liposuction requires hospitalization for 1-3 days.

The postoperative period has a number of characteristics about which the patient should be informed in detail. The early postoperative period is characterized by moderate pain, swelling and subcutaneous hemorrhages in the areas of liposuction zones, as well as low-grade fever and slight malaise. The change of the labels is carried out once and, as a rule, the day after the operation. Take a warm shower allowed after 5-7 days after surgery. Usually by this time, soreness in the area of the treated areas is significantly reduced, overall well-being improves, body temperature is normalized.

An important feature of the postoperative period is the presence of severe swelling of the tissues, which patients can evaluate as "insufficient" remote fat.

Depending on the scale of the operation and the individual characteristics of patients, the period of "edema" or "relative dissatisfaction of patients" can last up to 2 and even 4 weeks.

It is extremely important to wear long-lasting (up to 1/2 months) compression pantyhose, which play an important role in obtaining a good result of treatment for three reasons:

  • constant compression of damaged tissues reduces the degree of edema development and improves lymph flow conditions;
  • relaxed in areas of liposuction, the skin has optimal conditions for contraction;
  • an immobilization effect that favorably influences the course of reparative processes is achieved.

In the first 3 weeks pantyhose is recommended to wear around the clock. In the next 3 weeks - during the day. Normalization of the state of tissues in the treated zones occurs on average in 2-3 months.

The average recovery period is after processing 2-4 zones - 1 week, 6-12 zones - up to 2 weeks. Until the end of the first month is not recommended to play sports, swim, sunbathe, visit the bath. The process of tightening the skin begins as the edema disappears and can last from 1 to 6 months. The most rapid contraction of the skin occurs in young patients, whose skin elasticity is high enough.
