Myth 1. "After a peeling, tanning is better"
Most likely there are scrubs or peels for the body without the addition of fruit acids. They really exfoliate small particles from the surface of the skin, updating it. And the "new" skin tan to go to bed better.
If we are talking about a hardware peeling done in beauty salons, then the masters are obliged to warn you: the skin after this procedure is very sensitive and can easily get burned even in the shade. Therefore, it is even worthwhile to take a hat with big fields to cover the face. Also, I would not advise myself to use peelings with active acids in front of the beach. Of course, they will not cause a chemical burn, but the skin will be made much more sensitive to the sun's rays and then the sunshine is definitely secured.
Myth 2. "My protective cream will also suit my husband"
Of course, if a man by nature is very sensitive to the sun's rays, he can quite enjoy the sunscreen of his beloved woman. But in fact, not without reason there is an expression of thick-skinned men. This is really so - the skin of the stronger sex is thicker than that of women. And darker - because of more intensive production of collagen and melatonin. Therefore, a cream with a large SPF-factor a man is not particularly needed. If you go to the southern sea, for the first days a woman should better buy cream with the largest SPF (better than 30), and a man is enough for 10.
By the way, do not confuse sunscreens or sprays and tanning oil: the oil increases the chance to burn.
Myth 3. "At first we will buy, and then from the sun we will be smeared"
Apply sunscreen before and after bathing. Moreover, the cream is important to apply for some time before exposure to the sun, it is better for half an hour, at least 15 minutes. After all, its active components begin to act not immediately. And alas, no matter how good your cosmetics, even water repellent, - it is still washed off after bathing. Therefore, the protective layer should be renewed after each bath, or at least once.
Myth 4. "I'll lie down for a long time, I'd rather light up"
This is certainly not true. Pale skinned northerners are literally enough for 10 minutes in the sun to get burnt. And every sunburn increases the risk of melanoma (skin cancer) at times - this, alas, is already a scientifically proven fact.
Remember that the safest tan - until 12 o'clock in the day (or better - until 11 am) and after 16 pm. The midday sun is the most violent and from it you will not be protected even under the beach umbrella. To unprepared vacationers, who just arrived to the southern sun, at first it is better not to linger even in the mornings for longer than half an hour. Maximum - an hour under the umbrella. And do not forget the principle of the kolobok: turn the sun different sides every 5-10 minutes.
Myth 5. "Before going on vacation I'll go to the solarium and I'll be able to lie on the beach all day long"
In general, this is true, cautiously confirms the Swiss dermatologist Eric Schweiger. And immediately warns: the development of melatonin, which "darkens" us, is essentially a serious work for our immunity, because in this way he is forced to protect the skin from the sun's rays. The longer you lie in the sun, the more you relax it. And because of the weakened immunity even in the south it's very easy to catch a cold, not to mention the various infections.
In the south, do not take waterproof mascara
Cosmetologists warn: no matter how great the temptation to take on the sea water-resistant cosmetics, it is best to leave it at home. After all, the active components of the carcass aggressively act on the eyelashes, making them more fragile. A sea water effect exacerbates. Protect cilia from aggressive sun will help not only special gels with panthenol, but also mascara with this component. Therefore, on vacation to the hot sun, it is best to take it.
