Ozone therapy is the use for therapeutic purposes of ozone-oxygen mixtures in the form of injections or ozonized preparations for external use.

In the cosmetology of the body, the injection technique of cellulite treatment is most popular.

Depending on the ratio in the gas mixture of ozone and oxygen, introduced at different depths into the subcutaneous fatty tissue, it is possible to achieve skin lifting, lipolysis, swelling of the tissues, softening of fibrous cellulite units, and aligning the skin contour. The procedure gives a quick visible result after the first session. After the course, the result is maintained for about 6-8 months. It is well combined with other methods of figure correction, including injections.

Ozone therapy gives good results when working with stretch marks and scars, increases immunity and antioxidant protection locally in the zone of administration and the entire body. Exposure to oxygen enhances metabolic processes, improves mood.

Side effects and complications

  1. Complications are mainly related to the effect of oxygen and the enhancement of metabolic processes in the body. This can lead to an exacerbation of diseases accompanied by a high rate of metabolic and enzymatic reactions (thyrotoxicosis, pancreatitis, exacerbation of mental illness, increased convulsive readiness).
  2. Pain in the place of introduction of the ozone-oxygen mixture. The higher the ozone concentration, the stronger the pain. The pain depends on the volume of the infiltrated gas, and on the injection zone. Injections in the area of "large amounts of adipose tissue are less painful.
  3. Hematomas. This complication is typical for all injection techniques.

Oxygen therapy as an injection technique is used relatively recently. As the active substance, allotropic oxygen (singlet oxygen) modified under the influence of a high electrical discharge or irradiation is used.

Indications and contraindications are the same as with ozone therapy, except for the treatment of dilated vessels and mastopathy.

During the reflexotherapy procedure, acupuncture points are used to excite or inhibit various reactions by acupuncture, medication, acupressure,

In cosmetology, methods of introducing mesopreparations into ophthalmic points, ozone-oxygen injections and a combined method - homeomeoxymeotherapy, are mainly used.

Homeoxymesotherapy - introduction of acupuncture points activated by ozone or singlet oxygen microdoses of homeopathic preparations.

The advantage of this technique is the high efficiency, the speed of the procedure, as it does not need to chop large areas, the absence of an allergic reaction when using homeopathic drugs, the introduction of a small volume of the solution - 1-2 ml per procedure.
