Summer is in full swing and every woman dreams of a trip to the sea or at least out of town. What could be more beautiful than the sea, the sun, the beach, snow-white sand, a light sea breeze, water surface for many kilometers, unforgettably beautiful sunsets and sunrises, new acquaintances, and of course a gorgeous sea tan that will be remembered for the whole year? But in order not to lose face and freely conquer all the young and not so young handsome men on the beach, you must not forget about your hygiene and the neatness of your appearance. A woman who is going to a resort should go there already prepared and well-groomed. Preparation should include choosing a set of clothes for rest, a hairstyle, a manicure, a pedicure and of course depilation, at least in the bikini area.

Imagine the picture: a beautiful young girl, confidently walking along the hot seashore, the sun shining in the lenses of her glasses and then there they are – the hair in the bikini area, sticking out, awful, and not silky to the touch…

In order to avoid such a charming situation, you should definitely remove hair in the bikini area. Of course, your intimate hairstyle is only your choice and purely your preference. However, a well-groomed, moderately hairy bikini area looks neater. You don’t need an extra pad in the groin area when you put on a swimsuit, do you?

Shaving

Of course, you can remove hair in the bikini area at home. The easiest and fastest method is shaving. However, this method is not very convenient and practical. If you want to achieve perfect daily smoothness, you will have to shave almost every day. Even the best and most expensive razor becomes slightly dull with each use, so removing hair in the bikini area becomes more and more torture every day. Since the skin is tortured daily by the razor, it becomes more prone to irritation, inflammation and injury. During shaving, wounds may appear on it, even blood may appear in the places of cuts.

Moreover, if suddenly you don’t have a razor at hand (and you’ve already missed a couple of razor-depilation sessions), and then you have to let loose at some very revealing beach party in swimsuits or spend an evening with a hot hunk, then you and your partner will be in for a not very pleasant surprise – a hedgehog in your bikini area! Not only will it not add romance to the atmosphere, but it will also cause you a lot of inconvenience and discomfort, tingling and rubbing your own body.

In general, the description of this method is not particularly inspiring, so it is worth considering other options for removing hair in the bikini area.

Cream or lotion?

Why torture yourself with sharp and dangerous objects if you can simply use special products to remove hair in the bikini area, which help get rid of unwanted hair for a while? So on the shelves of stores and pharmacies there is a fairly wide selection of creams and lotions that help remove hair. In order to use this gentle method of depilation, it is enough to apply the product to the desired areas of the skin with a special tool and leave for a short time. Then rinse with warm water and voila! Simple, cheap, cheerful, and most importantly - fast and painless. In addition, removal by this method is quite thorough and has a further effect with constant use. If you remove hair in the bikini area with creams and lotions constantly, the hairs will become softer and not at all prickly.

However, the effect of the described method of hair removal in the bikini area is short-lived, since after a couple of days the hairs grow back and the procedure has to be repeated. In addition, after depilation with such products, it is worth applying moisturizing and soothing products to the skin, since the skin was exposed to chemicals.

Remember, dear women, before using chemical products such as creams or lotions to remove hair in the bikini area, be sure to test your skin for an allergic reaction.

Wax and sugar against hair

Waxing and sugaring are quite popular in the fight against hair in unwanted places. However, according to many women, it is very painful.

The answer is that it hurts at first, but over time the skin becomes less sensitive, and the hairs don’t grow as hard and thick.

Hair removal in the bikini area using wax and sugar can be done both at home and in salons. It is worth knowing that in a salon, when performing depilation in this way, hairs are removed that can be seen when wearing underwear. The areas between the buttocks and around the labia are cleared of hair. This type of removal requires you to use products that slow down hair growth.

This method of getting rid of hair in the bikini area helps you forget about depilation for 2-3 weeks, and the structure of the hairs that are pulled out changes over time – they become thin, soft and barely noticeable.

But precautions for wax and sugar epilation are very strict. This type of epilation is contraindicated for epileptics and pregnant women, since the pain is not pleasant and can lead to negative reactions of the body. In addition, if you carry out this procedure at home, do not forget that the hot mixture can cause a burn - be careful!

Photoepilation

The method of hair removal in the bikini area called photoepilation helps to get rid of unwanted hair forever! However, in order to achieve the desired effect, to completely get rid of hair in the bikini area, you need to have at least 10 sessions. The break after the session should last at least 2-3 months. The first procedure will not allow you to get rid of hair immediately.

Photoepilation is a hair removal method in which the follicle is affected by light and heat. Therefore, after the sessions, the skin in the area of hair removal may be affected, reddened and quite sensitive. In addition, for several weeks after the photoepilation session, a woman should avoid bathing in hot water and visiting a solarium, since in such cases you can get a burn in the areas where photoepilation was performed.

By the way, photoepilation as a method of hair removal in the bikini area may be absolutely useless for girls who have red hair.

Laser hair removal in the bikini area

The most effective hair removal method nowadays is considered to be laser hair removal in the bikini area. The main thing to note is that after laser hair removal in the bikini area, the skin remains completely smooth for two weeks, and if you use special inhibitor creams, the effect will last for another couple of weeks.

An equally important advantage of laser hair removal in the bikini area is the reduction in hair stiffness after each procedure. That is, if a woman removes hair with a laser, then when the hair grows back, it will no longer prick as much as when shaving. All this is because with each depilation procedure, the hairs are injured and deformed, and the hair follicles become less and less able to throw out hairs.

And what’s nice and also more aesthetically pleasing is that the skin after laser bikini hair removal looks soft, smooth and fresh, and not like when shaving the groin area – with the effect of roughness, unevenness and the so-called “goose bumps”.

So what is the cost of bikini hair removal?

The course of laser hair removal in the bikini area is 5-8 procedures, depending on the initial type and structure of hair and hair follicles. Depending on the area of unwanted hair removal, laser hair removal in the bikini area will cost you from 200 to 700 hryvnia per session, which takes about half an hour on average.

At the same time, the cost of hair removal in the bikini area using wax depilation will be about 200-800 hryvnia, but this procedure will need to be repeated periodically, depending on the rate of growth of unwanted hair.

And photoepilation also involves a course of procedures aimed at destroying unwanted hairs and it is, as in the case of laser hair removal, from 4 to 8 procedures. However, the cost of this procedure is slightly more expensive than laser hair removal in the bikini area. The approximate price of a session is from 300 to 900 hryvnia, depending on the prestige of the salon or beauty clinic.

What do those who have tried such procedures say?

Most ladies who have tried various bikini area depilation methods on themselves advise representatives of the weak, but courageous enough for evil methods of depilation, to seek qualified help in beauty salons for now. All this is because at home, as reviews of hair removal say, especially by the hot wax depilation method, it is very easy to injure yourself, which may be incompatible with a pleasant summer vacation on the beach.

There are, however, reviews of hair removal that may frighten the pioneers of other methods of depilation, except shaving. Particularly patient women say that they pluck hair in the bikini area with tweezers. Although this can be quite painful, the effect is better than shaving.

In general, the issue of bikini hair removal, as was said at the very beginning of the article, is a purely personal preference of each woman (well, and her partner, of course). And the choice of the procedure and method of bikini hair removal, dear women, is up to you! Be bolder and do not be afraid to try something new in life! Perhaps the most terrible or expensive method is worth the risk and one day try it on yourself?
