Even thousands of years ago in the Mediterranean countries, olive oil for the skin was known as the best. That is why it is considered "liquid gold". This is practically the only product that is as useful for external use as for the internal one. No wonder women in Greece were famous for their ideal figure and velvety skin. It perfectly suits both young girls and mature women, and for the elderly it will become simply an indispensable assistant. For cosmetic purposes, it is best to use the olive oil of the richest in useful substances - the first extraction (Extra Virgin).
The composition and properties of olive oil for the skin
Olive oil is squeezed out of the fruit of the oil palm. The native land of olives is the Mediterranean countries (Greece, Cyprus), but now they are grown in many subtropical countries (Spain, Tunisia, Algeria, Italy, Turkey, Egypt).
Olive oil of the first pressing has a yellowish-greenish shade and a characteristic smell of olives. It consists of glycerides of different fatty acids, namely oleic, palmitic, stearic, linoleic and others. Also in the composition are such unique substances as squalene, tocopherol and carotenoids. Also it is rich in minerals and vitamins, one of the most important is vitamin E. Therefore it is for the skin that fits better than other oils.
Olive oil for face skin
If you have a tonic for cleansing your face and a makeup remover for your home, you do not need to run to the nearest supermarket. With this task, olive oil can be perfectly handled. To clean the skin with his help, you need to take a cotton pad, moisten it with oil and massage with circular motions, wipe off the remains of decorative cosmetics, dust, dirt and sweat. In this case, it will not settle in the pores, but it creates a protective layer from the aggressive factors of the external environment. This oil is unique and suitable for any type of skin, so for the preparation of masks based on it, only your imagination is needed. It can be supplemented with cucumber juice, lemon juice, tomato juice, honey, milk, sour cream, cream, yogurt. Well suited and dry additives in the form of starch, crushed oatmeal, oatmeal, ground white beans. Also, olive oil can be combined with other oils, thus applying for different types of skin.
For oily skin of the face can be supplemented with such aromatic oils as: cypress, lemon balm, mint, lemon, lemon, mint, sandalwood, patchouli, and others.
For dry facial skin, you can supplement with such aromatic oils as: geranium, rose, palmarosa, chamomile, orange and others.

Olive oil for the skin of the body
There is nothing more perfect than olive oil for the skin of the body. It has moisturizing, soothing, regenerating and vitaminizing properties. It will not only restore the water balance of the skin after the aggressive effects of ultraviolet radiation, sea or chlorinated water in the pool, but it will prevent minor injuries and even soothe the itch after insect bites. To give a pleasant aroma to the oil, you can add three or four drops of rose essential oil to it. In specialized stores you can buy bombs for baths containing olive and other types of oils. With them, taking a bath will turn into a magnificent spa procedure.
It perfectly suits as a basis for an anti-cellulite massage mixture. To prepare it we will need:
- olive oil;
- oil of a young walnut;
- wheat germ oil;
- essential oils of juniper, cypress, sweet orange, rosemary.
Mix the oils 2: 1: 1 and add one or two drops of essential oils.
If you did not have a shaving cream on hand, it does not matter. Use olive oil. It will provide an ideal glide, moisturize the skin, and also prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.
You can also make a cream for the whole body on its basis right at your home.
For this we need:
- beeswax - 30 g;
- olive oil - 100 ml;
- boiled water - 30 ml;
- essential oil of geranium;
- juice of aloe.
Wax melt in a small enamel saucepan, add olive oil and stirring constantly to gradually introduce water. Interfere before obtaining a homogeneous mass. Then add two or three drops of Geranium and Aloe Vera oil and allow to cool.
Olive oil for the skin of hands
Olive oil for the skin of hands will be an ideal assistant in the winter season, as it creates an invisible film that protects against frost. It perfectly moistens the cuticle and nourishes the nail plate, so that the home manicure turns into fun, and the nails will always be strong and flexible. In specialized stores you can buy a natural soap made of olive oil, which will gently cleanse the skin after the street.
Olive oil for scalp

Apply it to the scalp from the roots to the tips of the hair. Put the bag on your head and wrap it with a towel. So you need to go for at least half an hour, and better go to bed. After, wash with a normal shampoo. After the first application of such a magic mask you will see the result, and if such a nutrient complex is applied on weekends, then in 2-3 months your hair will look like in glossy magazines. And most importantly, no dandruff!
