For a salt mask for hair, you can use either sea salt or iodized table salt. Making the mask does not take much time. The easiest way to take advantage of the cosmetic effect of salt is to exfoliate your scalp. To do this, comb your hair thoroughly and part it. Now apply salt to your head, note that the salt should be fine, as large salt crystals can damage your scalp. Put a plastic bag on top of your hair and wrap it in a towel. It is recommended to wash off the mask after 20-30 minutes or as soon as a burning sensation appears. Let's look at several recipes for salt hair masks.
Sea Salt Hair Mask
A sea salt hair mask is used to restore, nourish and strengthen hair. In addition to salt, the mask may contain many other ingredients that make the salt mask effective and expand its capabilities. Sea salt hair masks are valued for the properties of salt. Since this main ingredient contains many microelements that perfectly care for both the scalp and hair.
The simplest sea salt hair mask is prepared with the addition of an egg. The ingredients are mixed and carefully applied to the scalp and hair. The mask nourishes the hair, improves blood circulation, and is suitable for any hair type. Let's look at the basic rules for using a sea salt hair mask.
- Only crushed sea salt is used for masks, as large crystals can damage the scalp.
- The mask can be applied to the scalp only if there are no wounds, irritations or other painful sensations.
- You should use a salt mask no more than twice a week. Since frequent use of the mask will make your hair dull and brittle.
- The salt mask can only be applied to damp hair and damp scalp.
- The course of using sea salt hair masks should not exceed 10 procedures. After that, you need to take a break for a couple of months.
Strengthening Salt Mask for Hair
Take a glass jar and mix honey, crushed salt and cognac in equal proportions. The future mask should be left to infuse for two weeks in a dark, cool place. Mix the ingredients and leave to infuse in a dark, cool place for 14 days. Apply the mask to dirty hair for 40-60 minutes, rinse only with warm water. Such cosmetic procedures are allowed to be carried out no more than twice a week.
