Additives with curcumin contained in turmeric can prevent the development of diabetes in the risk group. This conclusion was voiced by Thai scientists led by Solmak Chungsamarn.

Experts have proved: daily intake of curcumin for nine months did not allow diabetes to develop in people with a borderline condition (elevated sugar, which threatens to develop into full-blown type 2 diabetes).

In total 240 people with borderline diabetes participated in the experiment. After a certain time, 19 of 116 people who were sitting on a placebo developed diabetes. But among the 119 who took curcumin, the disease was not fixed.
