Professor Shmuel Levit's specialization includes endocrine problems associated with the functioning of endocrine glands such as the thyroid and parathyroid glands, pituitary gland, adrenal glands, testicles and ovaries, as well as problems of general metabolism and osteoporosis - a metabolic disorder in bone tissue.

The specialist pays special attention to diabetes mellitus of both types, for which he has developed treatment regimens.

Dr. Levit is a graduate of the St. Petersburg Medical University and completed an internship as an endocrinologist in Israel, where he has been working for two decades.

Over the years, Dr. Levit has become one of the leading specialists in the treatment of diabetes; heads the Institute of Endocrinology and Diabetology at the Assuta Medical Center; founded several medical centers for the treatment of diabetes throughout Israel; is engaged in scientific research, participates in professional conferences, and conducts specialized courses on the treatment of diabetes for doctors in Israel and abroad.

Professor Shmuel Levit is a member of the Israeli Endocrinology Association, the Israeli Diabetes Association, and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE).
