Italian specialists from the Institute in Milan in their new research project have determined that the presence in a woman’s diet of a large amount of flour and pasta products, white bread leads to serious problems with the cardiovascular system.
This topic has been studied by scientists for quite a long time and thoroughly. For the experiment, scientists selected 47 thousand volunteers. According to the results obtained, scientists concluded that white bread, flour and pasta products double the chances of developing heart and vascular diseases, and the researchers also found that the consumption of the same products by men is completely harmless to their body and does not affect their overall health.
White bread and pasta have a high glycemic index, due to which the body digests such products quite quickly. The glycemic index is an indicator that indicates the level of sugar in the blood after eating products. Such an index is established for each product by comparing the body's reaction to glucose (100% glycemic index) with the reaction caused by food products. Different products have their own glycemic index values, and they are compared with the glycemic index of glucose. When eating products that have low glycemic index values, the blood sugar level rises quite slowly. The higher the glycemic index, the faster the blood sugar level increases. Eating pasta and white bread leads to a sharp increase in sugar, so their frequent use is harmful to the general health of a person. Such sharp jumps in sugar have a negative effect on the heart muscle, which leads to vascular and heart diseases, and sharp changes in blood sugar also negatively affect the organs of vision and teeth of a person. Previously, scientists have already conducted research on the effect of white bread on the human body and confirmed the fact that frequent consumption of bread leads to problems with the organs of vision and teeth. In addition, several years ago, specialists from the United States came to the conclusion that children under two years of age are contraindicated from eating white bread, since it leads to disruption of the formation and normal functioning of the immune system.
Earlier research by William Davis confirmed the link between excessive consumption of white bread and the resulting feeling of fatigue. Modern varieties of wheat contain gliadin (a GMO protein), which increases appetite, leading to overeating and obesity.
Nutritionists recommend eating more rye bread, eating as little baked goods and pasta as possible, replacing them with vegetables and fruits if possible.
However, not only some food products can harm women's health. Experts have previously studied the composition of cosmetic products and concluded that such products contain quite harmful chemicals that accumulate in the body over time and cause irreparable harm to women's health.
