Unfortunately, stressful situations are not uncommon in our lives. There is an opinion that sweets help a person fight stress, but scientists have a different opinion on this matter. They do not recommend eating chocolates to relieve stress, but advise helping your body survive the nervous shock with healthier products.
Asparagus
Despite the fact that the cost of this product is quite high, asparagus is an excellent source of B vitamins and folic acid, which contribute to the production of the mood-boosting hormone serotonin. Asparagus can be used to prepare many healthy and unusual dishes and at the same time get rid of the effects of stress.
Avocado
In addition to being a great source of healthy fat, avocados are rich in glutathione, a substance that blocks the absorption of harmful fats into the intestines, a process that causes oxidative stress. Avocados contain high levels of folate, more than any other fruit or vegetable. Avocados can be used as an ingredient in a salad or sandwich.
Berries
All berries, including blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, are rich in vitamin C, which is very useful in combating stress. Eating berries rich in vitamin C normalizes blood pressure and lowers the level of cortisol, the stress hormone. A handful of berries will not be superfluous in yogurt or oatmeal.
Oranges
Another source of vitamin C, which strengthens our body's immune system. Nutritionists advise drinking fresh fruits rather than orange juice, because they contain useful fiber, which is processed more slowly by the body, and a person does not feel hungry for a longer time.
Oysters
This product often appears on lists of the healthiest products, which is not surprising, because six oysters give a person half the daily requirement of zinc, an important element that can combat the negative effects of stress. To emphasize the taste of oysters, it is better to refuse fatty sauces and choose lemon juice.
Walnuts
The polyphenols they contain have a beneficial effect on memory processes, and omega-3 fatty acids control stress hormones and protect the heart.
