New Year and Christmas holidays are just around the corner, so there is simply no time to get sick. But to prevent fever, runny nose and headache from ruining your holiday mood, you need to take care of yourself and not ignore simple rules that will help you stay in excellent health.
- Wash your hands
Of course, this is the first and most important rule that must be followed in the autumn-winter period. Cleanliness will help prevent the spread of pathogenic microbes.
- Gymnastics and hardening
These are not the most difficult procedures to strengthen the immune system, so if you have never done either, it is never too late to start. 10-15 minutes is enough for a morning warm-up, followed by dousing with cool water, in no case ice-cold.
- Shoes
Make sure that your outdoor shoes are where they belong. According to doctors, the infection can spread not only through airborne droplets, but also through shoes or other objects.
- Lots of water
At the first sign of a cold, drink plenty of fluids. Hydration is an important part of flushing out viruses and bacteria.
If you like going to the bathhouse, then be sure to take essential oil with you with the scent of pine needles. It has protective properties and has high antiseptic activity. Bergamot, eucalyptus, juniper and lemon oil have the same properties.
- Vaccination
Flu vaccination is voluntary. Today, our country has a number of flu vaccines that are well purified and contain only the components of the virus that is relevant for the current season.
- Focus of infection
All efforts to protect health may be useless if there is a third-party source of chronic infection that weakens the immune system. This may be chronic sinusitis, sinusitis, adenoiditis, tonsillitis or dental caries.
- Recipe for health
Lemon juice, ginger and honey is a great recipe that supports health. Grate ginger and mix it with honey and lemon juice. The resulting mixture should be eaten twice a day, or you can use it as a tea.
