In the UK, at the University of Manchester, a group of researchers headed by Aravind Vijayaragavan became the owner of a $ 100,000 grant, which was established by Bill Gates. Earlier, the founder of Microsoft urged scientists to create a new generation condom, because the technologies used to manufacture the currently existing product have been for more than a century. Promised remuneration has already been given to the British, in whose plans to complete the research and launch the production of a new generation condom.
A group of researchers is currently developing a condom made of a unique material that will have a polymer material reminiscent of latex and graphene properties, one of the forms of carbon. By its structure, graphene is similar to bee honeycombs, this material has high strength, while incredibly thin. The world owes the discovery of graphene to Russian scientists - Andrei Geim and Konstantin Novoselov, who were awarded the Nobel Prize for invention. Since the appearance of graphene in 2004, many people have wondered when the new material will be used for everyday needs. Now it is possible that the new material will be used as a packaging for food, when creating screens of mobile phones and much more. If the project is successful, then graphene will be present in our lives in the most intimate of its manifestations - as stated by the project manager.
Based on the calculations of specialists, new condoms will be more perfect than currently produced latex products, and in all respects. Scientists plan to receive material that will be much stronger and safer than its predecessor, besides the new condom will be more elastic. Also, scientists suggest that such an important indicator, like feelings during sex, will become more pronounced and pleasant.
Condoms of a new generation on a free sale can be accessed quite soon. Bill Gates was very interested in the project and already allocated money for research.
Also important is the point that new condoms can become more popular than their predecessors and will reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases around the world. This is due primarily to the fact that people will not neglect the product, which almost does not conceal sexual feelings, because graphene is thinner than human hair. In addition, the pores in the condom from graphene are completely absent, which prevents it from penetrating through it to various infections and bacteria.
Most men prefer to give up condoms more because they do not get all the feelings from the sexual act, besides, the dressing process can reduce the erection (in case of an incorrect size). In addition, latex products can tear during use (in about 5% of cases). Experts believe that the new condoms, which will combine the strength of graphene and the elasticity of latex, will be the most convenient, safe and enjoyable of all that humanity has ever created.
