On a special diet during the treatment of cancer was said at an interregional scientific and practical seminar, which was held at the Zhitomir Institute of Nurses. The seminar was held under the title "Modern opportunities and prospects for using special means of dietary nutrition during treatment and rehabilitation of cancer patients".

During the seminar, specialists presented new ways to combat oncological diseases, all studies were conducted in the cancer clinic of Zhytomyr with the support of the German-Ukrainian dietetics center.

Also at the conference, with the help of Internet communication, a practicing dietician from Germany Inna Lavrenyuk was able to speak about the important role played by the diet for patients. In her opinion, the lack of positive dynamics in treatment with standard methods (chemo- and radiotherapy) is a consequence of the presence of resistant (insensitive) cancer cells in the body that appear during treatment. Cancer cells immediately react to stress, which leads to the release of uric acid, the accumulation of which causes severe consequences - lymphocytes become less mobile and poorly perform their functions, cancer cells also feel good in an acidic environment. Thus, pathological cells are protected from immunity, and partial destruction of adjacent tissues facilitates the growth of the tumor. The goal of dietary nutrition is to overcome the resistance of cancer cells to therapy. As shown by clinical studies, the combination of diet and standard methods of treatment of cancers reduces the risk of metastasis by 75%.

The advantage of such dietary therapy is the complete absence of adverse reactions, support of the immune system, high efficiency both in the early stages of the disease, and on the more neglected ones.

In addition, Inna Lavrenyuk told about methods of cancer diagnosis using new EDIM technologies. German microbiologists have discovered two new enzymes in the study of changes in the metabolism of cancer cells. The new enzymes are the new generation of bio- cancer markers in cancer diagnosis, which can determine the presence of the disease with an accuracy of 95%.

At the conference, Valentina Ivanchuk, the head of the chemo-therapeutic department of the cancer dispensary in Zhytomyr, spoke at the conference, sharing her own experience in the practical application of special dietary nutrition in combination with chemotherapy.

The diet leads to starvation of a cancerous tumor and makes it more vulnerable to standard treatment.

Six patients from the cancer center in Zhytomyr took part in the clinical trials. As a result, in all women, ultrasound showed a decrease in cancer cells, in addition, one participant completely disappeared metastases from the liver.

The principle of dietary nutrition in case of cancer is to reduce glucose in the body (no more than 1g of glucose per 1 kg of body weight or completely eliminate).

Healthy cells are able to function normally without glucose, while cancer cells become more vulnerable, susceptible to chemotherapy or radiation treatment.

The diet excludes flour, sweet foods and cereals. It is allowed to eat fish, meat, lactic acid foods, vegetable oils (linseed oil is especially recommended), fruits, vegetables (in accordance with the content of glucose in them).

All six patients who took part in the experiment noted that the diet facilitated the process of chemotherapy, improved well-being and mood.
