His new development was presented by the employees of the Institute of Medical Sciences in India, which consists in an entirely new approach to the treatment of dental canals. The new technique allows you to treat teeth with little or no pain and, moreover, such treatment will be quite affordable. This procedure is fundamentally different from the one currently used.
To treat dental canals requires careful preparation, high professionalism, besides, for one procedure it is often impossible to fully heal the dental canal. During treatment, the dentist first carefully cleans the canals, and then performs the procedure for filling the root canal with special solutions. According to the authors of the new technique, first of all, there is no need to fill artificial canals with artificial materials, moreover, with such treatment, there were often problems with the insertion of artificial material into the patient's body, which caused a number of side effects. According to the new technology, the dentist uses the patient's stem cells and growth factors for their development. This technique is called SealBio. Stem cells help to repair damaged tissues. In the case of a new technique, stem cells in the root of the tooth grow, thereby restoring the natural tissues in the tooth and filling the tooth canal. As a result of this treatment, the dental canal is restored in a natural way, without causing adverse reactions of the body, as when filling channels with cementitious materials. In the dental canal, a gradual recovery and growth of tissue from the stem cells is observed. The recovery period depends on the severity of the root damage and individual characteristics of the organism, it can take from several weeks to several months.
Doctors of the Institute of Medical Sciences noted that this treatment significantly simplifies the procedure for the treatment of dental canals, in addition, the procedure does not require the use of additional equipment, it takes less time and is not expensive.
During the research, scientists conducted experiments on dozens of volunteers and for five years observed the results of treatment, which turned out to be quite successful and encouraging. As Professor Husnayne of the School of Biological Sciences in India noted, this pioneering innovation can be the beginning for research on regenerative recovery of the body in other clinical cases in dentistry.
Stem cells are immature cells that are present in all multicellular organisms. Such cells have the ability to self-renew, divide and differentiate into new specialized cells, i. E. Stem cells are able to turn into cells of any organ or tissue of the body. Thanks to modern scientific achievements, the use of stem cells is almost unlimited and it is quite possible that in the future, thanks to such technologies, it will be possible to successfully treat a number of serious diseases.
