It is difficult to imagine a modern person who does without a cup of strong coffee or tea in the morning before work or at the office, before the start of the working day. The long-standing phrase: "going to coffee" can mean anything, and this shows how important a drink has acquired in our life. Connoisseurs argue about which drink is more useful, more invigorating and, of course, more delicious. Botanists from the Royal Botanic Gardens of London will be able to surprise and please supporters and tea and coffee. A drink is found that combines the beneficial properties of both products: tea from large coffee leaves has every chance of becoming a drink of the future.

An international team of European scientists has invented a new version of an invigorating and tonic morning drink - coffee tea. Botany assures that a cup of hot tea, brewed from coffee leaves, will be a good alternative to coffee and tea separately. If we talk about the taste of a new hot drink, then by trial and error the best proportion of the leaves of the coffee tree and boiling water was determined. It is assumed that the taste of drinking will resemble coffee rather than tea, which will please tea lovers. But along with this drink will not be as strong and bitter as classic black coffee.

Scientists who study the traditions of the countries of Asia and Africa say that the idea is not new, because the so-called "coffee tea" or, more simply, a decoction of coffee tree leaves is popular with the local population of the islands of Indonesia and some countries of the African continent. These leaves tried to export to Europe several centuries ago, but, unfortunately, because of the specific taste, the drink did not take root. In the future, the coffee tree was valued only because of grains.

As for the beneficial properties, the drink is expected to have a large number of antioxidants and nutrients. In addition, the amount of caffeine will be slightly less than in black coffee or green tea. Scientists promise that the drink will have even healing properties: antioxidants and anti-inflammatory substances that are contained in the leaves of the coffee tree, strengthen the immune system. A high index of mangiferin will provide the possibility of lowering cholesterol and, possibly, reduce the risk of diabetes mellitus.

Initially, scientists from France were not sure of the useful properties, which, they believed, groundlessly attributed the newly invented beverage. In their opinion, it is not in vain that attempts to implement it in European countries failed in the early nineteenth century. In fact, the drink acquired an unpleasant aftertaste only because of incorrectly selected proportions. To date, a recipe has been invented that will help coffee tea find a sufficient number of adherents.

In addition to the tonic effect, which is so necessary in the morning, tea from coffee leaves can eliminate the feeling of hunger, which will be appreciated by women who follow the figure. People who make a living by intellectual labor will like that the drink can "clean" the brain of unnecessary information and significantly reduce fatigue.
