Currently, British scientists have discovered a new disease that only modern children and teenagers are susceptible to. More and more young patients suffering from a disease called "computer hump" are now seeking help from specialists. The cause of the disease is prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Doctors are sure that the time spent in front of a computer should be limited. According to experts, a child should sit in front of a computer monitor for no longer than three hours, and be sure to take frequent breaks. Parents are obliged to ensure that the child has correct posture.

New Lifestyle Disease Threatens Younger Generation

Modern gadgets (tablets, phones, laptops) also affect the development of the hump, since the younger generation uses them constantly. In England, the mother of a teenager who spent at least four hours a day at the computer noticed the appearance of a small elevation in the back. After feeling it, the woman discovered that the protrusion on the back was the shoulder blade, which rose above its normal position. As the mother noted, the development of the hump was a complete surprise for them, since the child always had correct posture and the boy did not hunch over when walking. However, for the doctors who examined the young patient, this condition was not at all strange. As doctors said, recently more and more patients with "computer hump" appear. First of all, the hump grows due to the crooked position of the child who sits at the computer, the spine becomes less stable and bends all the time.

After children experience pain in the back area and start complaining about it to their parents, who take their children to see a doctor. After examination, the diagnosis is usually "advanced scoliosis", which is characterized by curvature of the spine.

Experts urge parents to monitor their children's health as best as possible, especially the condition of the spine, in order to prevent the development of a hump. This disease is accompanied by characteristic posture disorders, which leads to changes in the spine and chest, the spine curves and becomes like a hump. At the same time, the position of the spine remains unchanged, even when the child then gets up from the computer. Currently, the "computer hump" has already acquired an epidemiological character.

Earlier studies have shown that behavioral problems in children are most often caused by computer and other games that last until late at night. Usually, the disruption of the routine is observed in young children from 3 to 7 years old, but after this period, the routine gradually levels out and the child goes to bed at about the same time. Children who went to bed at different times (mainly after 9 p.m.) had problems communicating with their peers.

According to doctors, problems with hyperactivity, poor learning ability, and emotional instability of a child can be solved by adjusting his or her routine, in particular, it is necessary to set a clear time for going to bed, preferably no later than 9 p.m.
