In the autumn-winter period, the number of infectious and cold diseases increases. By following simple rules, you can protect the whole family and avoid these troubles.
Flu shot
Doctors especially recommend getting vaccinated against flu for older people and those with chronic diseases. The vaccine will also help those who come into contact with a large number of people every day.
If you have small children who attend daycare, consult your pediatrician about vaccinating your child. Studies show that families where children were immunized had 42% fewer cases of acute respiratory infections.
Hygiene first
According to experts, hands should be washed with soap for 15-30 seconds. This is the only way to kill germs. Quick washing will not bring results. Make washing your hands before eating, after using the toilet, and after sneezing or blowing your nose a good habit.
Keep your hands away from your face
This will reduce the likelihood of pathogenic microbes getting directly into the eye or mouth. According to research, people touch their faces about fifteen times an hour.
Vitaminization
Make sure your body gets the daily dose of vitamin E and other antioxidants, including vitamin A, C, and B-complex vitamins and minerals. They help strengthen your immune system. Scientists have conducted experiments on old mice and found that rodents with low levels of vitamin E are more susceptible to flu viruses.
Quitting smoking
Tobacco smoke paralyzes the cilia that line the inside of your nose and airways, so even inhaling smoke can seriously damage your body's immune system.
Dream
A good rest, which is at least seven hours a day, is simply necessary for the body to restore damaged cells and increase its defenses.
Reduce alcohol consumption
Alcoholic drinks dehydrate the body and damage the liver, the body's most important cleansing system.
Order on the desktop
The most dangerous places during epidemics are rooms where people share viruses. But one way or another, you need to go to work, and to protect yourself, buy disinfectant wipes and regularly wipe your keyboard, mouse, table and phone, which are where a large number of bacteria settle.
Fresh air
Spend more time outdoors. Sitting at home near a radiator is unlikely to improve your health. Central heating dries out the mucous membranes of the mouth, eyes and nose, making them vulnerable to infections.
