German researchers came to the conclusion that genes are directly related to the development of heart attacks and if you learn to work on such genes, you can significantly reduce the risk of developing a heart attack.

After the conducted studies, experts suggested that it is possible to influence genes with the help of medications, and it was also found that with the development of a heart attack, the gene ANGPTL4 is associated, which together with malnutrition can affect the level of fats in the blood.

The work of the research group was held at the Technical University of Germany. The team was trying to find a relationship between ischemia and genetic variation. In the course of the work, they analyzed various genes in 200,000 volunteers (in total more than 10,000 genes were analyzed). The experiment involved not only patients who in the past suffered a heart attack, but healthy people.

As a result, the specialists found what they were looking for - a correlation was found with a number of genes, including the gene ANGPTL4. A deeper study showed that changes in ANGPTL4, detected in some participants in the study, reduced the level of triglycerides (fats) severalfold.

Triglycerides, in the first place, are related to the energy function - thanks to them in the fat cells the energy reserve for the organism remains. Bad cholesterol in combination with high triglycerides increases the likelihood of developing a heart attack, as well as various diseases of the heart and blood vessels.

The changes identified by the researchers disable the work of the ANGPTL4 gene, resulting in a decrease in the level of triglycerides, and with it the risk of developing a heart attack. According to scientists, there is no acute need for the ANGPTL4 gene in the body and its "shutdown" will not affect the functioning of organs and systems.

This study will help develop new drugs that will disconnect the gene ANGPTL4 and help reduce the risk of developing a heart attack.

The study of factors affecting the development of strokes, heart attacks, and engaged in Japanese scientists who found that the habit of eating breakfast reduces the risk of intracerebral hemorrhage. Scientists studied the lifestyle of more than 80 thousand people for 25 years, as a result of observations it was found that in the group of volunteers who had regular breakfast, the risk of hemorrhage was lower by 36%, in comparison with those who refused morning meal.

According to experts, the beginning of a new day on an empty stomach provokes an increase in blood pressure, and this, as is known, is one of the causes of cerebral hemorrhages.

However, the researchers found that the development of ischemic stroke is completely unrelated to the habit of eating breakfast, experts do not rule out that high blood pressure affects the risk of heart attack less than stroke.

As a result of their observations, the Japanese experts did not find the relationship between the habit of eating in the morning and the risk of developing a heart attack.

Colleagues of Japanese researchers noted that such results can be peculiar only for Japan, where the overall level of obesity is lower.
