As is known, eating nuts helps to maintain the health of not only the brain, but also the whole body. But recently, studies have shown that if you eat nuts throughout the year, it will not only help effectively reduce weight, but also improve mood and brain performance. Based on the results of the experiments, scientists have concluded that almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts prevent brain aging, improve memory, especially if consumed with red wine (in reasonable quantities).

Many people know roveratrol as a powerful antioxidant that is very useful for the brain. According to scientific research, roveratrol has a strong rejuvenating effect on brain cells. Nuts together with a source of roveratrol (quality supplements or red wine) improve your mood, maintain memory.

An experiment was conducted, during which scientists analyzed the condition of patients who consumed large amounts of nuts for three months. All participants were divided into several groups. Each of the patients had metabolic syndrome, heart disease, decreased mental performance, and an increased risk of developing diabetes. In some groups, the participants in the experiment consumed additional nuts, while in others they did not. At the end of the experiment, scientists found that the patients who consumed nuts had increased levels of serotonin (the so-called happiness hormone). People with high levels of serotonin are less likely to suffer from depression, bad mood, and are more satisfied with their lives. In addition, the participants in this group had a reduced inflammatory process in the body. Scientists attribute the anti-inflammatory effect to the large amount of polyphenols in nuts (plant pigments, strong natural antioxidants). This discovery is of great importance for humanity, since people who have metabolic syndrome are subject to faster aging of brain cells and brain disorders (memory loss, mental performance, etc.).

The metabolic process in the body occurs due to the activity of metachondria, they are responsible for the nutrition of a huge number of cells in the entire body. With age, metachondria perform their functions worse, which leads to a decline in cell activity and their aging. The activity of metachondria is regulated by the longevity gene. The substance roveratrol restores the functions of metachondria, activates the longevity gene, also known as Sirt1, which also promotes brain rejuvenation.

The human brain is extremely dependent on the metabolic process, it needs 20% of the oxygen that is absorbed by the body. The human brain has a high susceptibility to the effects of oxidative stress and free radicals, which cause the aging of brain cells. Natural substances such as rosuveratrol and monounsaturated fats, which are found in large quantities in nuts, are able to protect our brain from aging, various damages, help maintain memory and brain activity for many years.
