Scientists from Great Britain have determined that too frequent consumption of fried and fatty foods can provoke the development of oncological diseases. The products that experts recommend excluding from the diet primarily include fast food. Chips are singled out as a separate item, which are simultaneously too fatty, spicy, and deep-fried. Doctors warn: chips are especially harmful for middle-aged men due to the ability, with regular consumption, to cause prostate cancer.
During numerous studies of oncological diseases, scientists have found that in order to prevent prostate cancer, which is a common disease in middle-aged and elderly men, it is better for men to refrain from eating fast food. The results of the studies show that men who regularly eat fried potatoes, chips and other deep-fried snacks suffer from prostate cancer more often than those who ignore such products.
Scientists say that the main reason for the negative impact of fried potatoes and chips on the body is that these products are in boiling vegetable oil for a long time. Sunflower oil heated to boiling point promotes the formation and development of cancer cells.
Experts conducted a study, during which they interviewed more than 1,500 middle-aged and elderly men. The results of the experiment showed that those men who eat fried, spicy food every day are more likely to suffer from oncological diseases. Representatives of the male sex who eat chips at least once a week are three times more likely to suffer from prostate cancer than those who eat such products once every two or three months.
The following conclusions were made from the survey results: fried food in vegetable oil, which, among other things, is often too spicy, can be consumed without a health risk no more than once every few weeks. Men over 50, who are most often exposed to the possibility of prostate cancer, are at particular risk. A direct link between fried food and the formation of cancer cells is observed due to the fact that the cooked food is subjected to heat treatment in boiling vegetable oil for a long time.
Some time ago, scientists from the United States found that during long-term frying, a large number of carcinogens are formed in vegetables, which can negatively affect human health. A carcinogen is physical radiation or, more often, a chemical substance that can cause the appearance of cancer cells and, as a result, malignant tumors that are difficult to treat. Among the carcinogens that are formed during the heating of vegetable oil and industrial fats, scientists distinguish peroxides. Scientists also warn against daily consumption of grilled food. Despite the fact that grilled products are considered a dietary and healthy product, it is worth remembering that during the cooking process there is a risk of formation of such carcinogens as benzopyrenes, which can also cause malignant tumors.
