In an American magazine, an article was published about the beneficial effect of music on patients who had malignant tumors. As a result of some studies that were conducted in the United States, it was found that music has a good effect on cancer patients: the psychoemotional state and other vital indicators improve.

Before that, the scientists conducted a study, according to which they concluded that the news of the oncological disease in most patients provoked an oppressed mental state. Almost all the volunteers who participated in the experiment observed fear, and after a certain period of time, almost half of the patients fell into a depressive state of varying severity.

A new study showed that after the patients underwent a course of music therapy that lasted three weeks, there was a decrease in the pain that accompanies the cancer, in addition, the mood and lifestyle became noticeably better in patients. In addition, experts noted in patients a decrease in the negative impact of severe anticancer therapy, which they were taking.

The doctors using this method noted that in each specific case it is necessary to select their own version of the musical influence, taking into account the person's preferences, abilities and needs. This conclusion was made by specialists after all the participants in the experiment were divided into two groups. The volunteers who took part in the research project were between 11 and 24 years old. In one group, patients listened to music, and in the second audiobook.

On the psychoemotional condition of cancer patients listening to music influenced much better, in addition, music therapy helped to reduce the strong pain that is observed in cancer patients. This effect researchers explained that sound waves have a certain frequency, which affect the human body.

However, not all musical genres proved to be useful. For example, fans of rock with time can lose peace, as long and frequent listening to such music leads to stress, as well as problems with sleep and hearing.

To improve their health, scientists recommend classical music. Moreover, in earlier studies, scientists were able to determine what exactly classical music contributes to the speedy recovery of a person. And in medicine, it has long been known about the so-called "Mozart Effect" - an amazing impact on the human brain of musical compositions by Wolfgang Mozart. As can be seen from some studies, after drying of the music of this composer, brain activity increases, intellect increases, but scientists have not succeeded in explaining this musical phenomenon to the end.

Lead author of the research project Joan Haze noted that music, especially classical music, can be useful as additional methods of treating cancer patients.
