Nowadays, many people are seriously concerned about their own health and lifestyle, which has a positive effect on overall statistics. Modern inhabitants of the planet pay special attention to their diet and properly selected products. A popular nutritionist in the USA, who has been creating individual diets for those who have problems with digestion or excess weight for many years, recently published a list of the most harmful products for the body.
Nutritionists often argue about which products are actually harmful to the body, and which are not too dangerous. Jared Koch, an American nutritionist, named a short list of products that, in his opinion, should be removed from the daily diet. At the moment, the list is being checked by specialists, but some facts about products that are harmful to health are known.
Canned tomatoes are at the top of the "prohibited list", which initially surprised doctors a little. It is known that fresh tomatoes have a lot of useful substances, among which we can highlight lycopene, used as a preventive measure for cardiovascular diseases. Due to long-term storage in tin containers, tomatoes lose their medicinal properties, and instead of useful substances, the substance "bisphenol A" is formed in the product, which can even be considered poisonous. The nutritionist advises eating only fresh tomatoes or those stored in glass jars.
Next on the list are the so-called meat products: smoked meats, sausages, and cold meats. In this case, we are talking about products that are processed with nitrates, flavor enhancers, and hormonal substances. Of course, meat is a necessary product in the daily diet, but nutritionists recommend cooking only fresh or frozen meat and reducing the consumption of "ready-made" meat products as much as possible.
Many nutritionists have spoken negatively about the use of margarine. Housewives actively use margarine when baking confectionery and bakery products, not suspecting that this is a very dangerous ingredient. Vegetable fats contained in margarine are saturated with acids during the production process, which can cause inflammatory processes in the body.
Vegetable oil becomes a harmful product after heat treatment. Nutritionists recommend using oil only in salads, occasionally when stewing vegetables.
Speaking of vegetables, it would seem that potatoes, which are common in our time, are also considered a harmful product. However, the nutritionist only means non-organic potatoes, which were grown using pesticides and fertilizers.
Recently, soy products have become popular among vegetarians and people observing religious fasts: soy meat, noodles, milk. Doctors advise not to abuse these products, as they can lead to hormonal imbalance.
Much has already been said about the harm of sugar, but nutritionists emphasize that first of all, it is worth giving up artificial substitutes.
