Specialists of one of the French hospitals conducted the first of its kind operation for artificial heart transplantation, the structure of which differs radically from similar devices that exist at the present time. A message about this came from the company of France "Karmat", which was created by the famous cardiac surgeon Alain Carpentier, the same company and developed a unique device that can replace the heart. The new development differs from similar models in that it does not need external adjustment of work under varying load. The work of the heart analogue of the new generation is almost identical to this organ. The development was carried out with the help of an aviation-comic association with the participation of other high-tech companies. The altitude and pressure sensors used in aviation control the blood pressure and the reaction of the artificial organ to increase or decrease the blood flow occurs almost instantly.

Supervised the operation of the artificial organ transplant Alen Korpantin in one of the hospitals in Paris. The artificial organ was transplanted to a man who was threatened in the very near future by death from acute heart failure. After the operation, the man was transferred to the intensive care unit of the hospital, and the doctors noted that the patient was in a normal state. According to some reports, it is planned to conduct similar operations in the next three months in three other French hospitals.

The specialists have been working on developing a new unique device for about twenty years. Such a time, given that such a project is rather complicated, is not that big. Currently, the cost of such a device, whose weight is 900 grams, is 80 thousand euros. As the developers themselves believe, the new development will save tens of thousands of lives each year. Only in France from heart failure each year, about 32 thousand people die, most of which do not wait for their turn to transplant the donor organ.

One of the representatives of the company-developer specified that all previous cardiac analogues had only one pump, which made it possible to replace only one ventricle and one atrium. In the new development of French engineers built two pumps, which allows you to replace the diseased heart almost completely, while in the human body will also continue the natural circulation with a small and large circle.

This device is a real breakthrough in cardiology. Artificial heart substitutes existed before, but all of them did not provide absolute autonomy to man. Patients with such an artificial heart will be able to move more freely and easily, reducing the risk of blood clotting.

The medical community is very interested in the results of the first operation and research in this area. Developers of the unique body and doctors were congratulated by the Minister of Health of France. As the minister noted, France has proved that it is able to make scientific innovations and can be proud of being the first in this extremely important area.
