Experts from the United States have found that coffee lovers have a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The experts came to this conclusion after conducting a meta-analysis of information obtained from 28 studies that were related to coffee and diabetes to one degree or another.

When studying coffee, specialists discovered three substances in it that are capable of blocking the accumulation of toxic amyloid protein, which provokes the development of the disease.

In total, more than a million people took part in the study, including people suffering from type 2 diabetes. In addition, specialists were able to determine that the likelihood of developing the disease is reduced by drinking coffee in moderate quantities. At the same time, coffee that does not contain caffeine helps to better cope with the negative factors that provoke diabetes.

It should be noted that the incidence of diabetes has increased significantly over the past decades. According to medical forecasts, by 2030 the number of people with the disease will be more than 400 million.

Earlier studies by German specialists showed that a morning cup of coffee can improve a person's mood for the whole day. Scientists explain this condition by the fact that coffee promotes the production of dopamine in the body - a hormone responsible for positive emotions.

However, the research into this drink does not stop there, and scientists intend to continue studying the properties of coffee. It should also be noted that type 2 diabetes or non-insulin-dependent diabetes is a hereditary disease.

Among other studies on coffee, an interesting one was conducted by specialists from Hopkins University, according to which drinking a cup of coffee will help to cope with forgetfulness throughout the day.

It has been known for a long time that caffeine stimulates the brain, but no one had studied how exactly caffeine affects mental performance and human memory. In their experiment, scientists were able to establish that caffeine helps improve memory for about a day. The study was conducted with the participation of volunteers who had to solve certain memory problems. The experiment took place in two stages: first, all volunteers were given a set of pictures to look at, after which one group was given a pill that contained caffeine, and the second - a "dummy". The next day, the participants were shown new pictures and found out which photos had already been seen last time and which photos had similar objects. As a result, the volunteers who took the pill with caffeine demonstrated a result 30% better than the group who took the pills without caffeine.

Based on the results of all the studies, scientists concluded that a morning cup of coffee will help increase brain activity throughout the day.

In principle, coffee is a drink that has been the subject of long-term debates about whether this drink is harmful or beneficial.
