In one of the coffee shops in Queensland, visitors can buy an unusual product - coffee enemas, and this offer is popular, more than a hundred sets have already been purchased.

In order to scientifically substantiate the expediency of using coffee enemas, the book by Charlotte Gerson was used as a basis, who has successfully used coffee for many years to treat a variety of diseases. For four years, Charlotte gave coffee enemas to herself and her husband, who had problems with the cardiovascular system. As the author says, the positive effect of the coffee enema will appear after several years of regular use.

The owner of a coffee shop with an unusual offer notes that coffee enemas can not be used by everyone, but such enemas even helped to stop the development of cancerous tumors. The effect of the enema can also be affected by the strength of the drink and the individual characteristics of the body.

This is not the first time that coffee has been in the spotlight. Scientists have studied its properties more than once, and in one of the recent studies, specialists from one of the universities made an interesting conclusion. As it turned out, coffee affects the attitude to life and lifts the mood. Coffee lovers begin to look at the world more optimistically. Scientists made such conclusions after an experiment in which scientists studied the effect of the drink on two groups of older people.

In the first group, volunteers were asked to drink several cups of caffeinated coffee daily, while in the other group, they were offered a decaffeinated drink. The study participants described their well-being and mood every day. As a result, the scientists noticed that in the first group (which was offered caffeinated coffee), they felt generally more satisfied with life and positively assessed everything that was happening in their lives.

Scientists from Harvard University conducted an analysis of suicidal adults. The experiment involved people who drank several cups of coffee daily and those who did not drink this drink at all (or preferred decaffeinated coffee). As a result of their observations, the scientists concluded that among people who drank 2-4 cups of coffee a day, suicidal tendencies were manifested two times less. Another research group noted that caffeinated coffee reduces the likelihood of developing depression among the female population. At the same time, a corresponding study was also conducted at Harvard, then scientists noted a 15% decrease in the risk of developing depressive states among coffee lovers, compared to those women who did not drink coffee at all.

In addition, experts note that coffee addiction can be compared to drug addiction, since a withdrawal syndrome is observed when the daily dose of coffee is reduced. At the same time, neither pregnancy, nor heart disease, nor bleeding incompatible with coffee consumption can force a person to give up coffee.

The Psychiatric Association in the United States has recognized coffee addiction as a real problem of our time and now there are centers whose work is aimed at helping people recover from coffee addiction.
