Experts from Great Britain reported that among fans of coffee there are practically no people with depressive and suicidal tendencies. According to some scientists, with the help of a fragrant and invigorating drink you can save many people from irreparable acts. During the study of statistics on suicides in recent years, scientists from Harvard University are interested in the curious and unnoticed until now the fact: among adult suicides there were no coffee lovers and even just coffee lovers.
For twenty years, British scientists have been studying this topic: more than 180,000 people have been monitored. Every few years, the participants filled out questionnaires with questions, among which were questions about the attitude towards coffee. Between 1988 and 2008, 277 people out of 184,000 committed suicide.
As the questionnaires showed, none of the people who committed suicide did not prefer a coffee drink. Analyzing the data obtained, the scientists managed to establish that the substances contained in coffee can affect the mood of a person and reduce the likelihood of suicidal tendencies. Scientists believe that people who consume more than 400 ml daily. Strong coffee, are less susceptible to the appearance of thoughts of suicide.
The British edition of Biological Psychiatry published information that coffee lovers commit suicides several times less often than those who refrain from consuming a fragrant drink.

Dietitians from Harvard confirmed the assumptions of psychologists: in fact, coffee contains substances that can influence the perception of the environment and the mood of a person. Drink can be considered an effective tool that can help a person get rid of depressive and suicidal thoughts.
Nutritionists from the British university believe that the reasons for the influence of coffee on a person's mood lie in the high content of caffeine and its special properties. Even in small doses, caffeine can have a stimulating and stimulating effect on the human nervous system. Thus, coffee speeds up cardiac activity, increases the rate of formation of neurotransmitters, and can also act as a mild antidepressant.
Neurotransmitters, also called neurotransmitters or simply mediators, are active chemicals that transfer electrical impulses between neurons and muscle tissues. Among the most famous neurotransmitters known to every person, adrenaline (a hormone whose secretion is significantly increased in a stressful situation), serotonin (a hormone deficient of which is accompanied by hypersensitivity), and dopamine (a hormone that causes heart palpitations) can be called. Each of the neurotransmitters is responsible for the state of the human nervous system, as well as for mood and mental state. Thus, people who consume large amounts of coffee provide a stable production of hormones necessary for the body and a lack of suicidal tendencies.
