In one of the latest studies, scientists learned that overexertion can cause a person to gain extra pounds. As experiments have shown, after experiencing stress, a hormone actively appears in the body that helps transform normal cells into fat, which not only prevents you from getting back into shape, but also increases the likelihood of type II diabetes, heart disease and vascular disease.

The new study was conducted by Stanford University specialists, led by Dr. Brian Feldman. According to scientists, in a stressful state, the body activates a mechanism for the formation of fatty tissue, which is used as a source of additional energy.

Scientists have also found that in stressful situations, a person's appetite often increases, and people tend to "eat away" their troubles with unhealthy foods, and high-calorie foods also lead to extra pounds.

Research has shown that those who have gained excess weight as a result of eating too many high-calorie foods have fat that wraps around their internal organs. Scientists note that fat around organs and subcutaneous fat are different, but internal fat is more dangerous to human health.

As a result of recent work, scientists have established that fat can have a significant impact on the functioning of the body. Fat cells can receive signals from stem cells, and also send them a response, and, as is known, stem cells have the ability to transform into any type of human cells. Feldman's team has established that one of these signals is the launch of a certain hormone that promotes the transformation of body cells into fat.

Experts noted that there may be other hormones that are still unknown to science and also affect similar processes in the body, but the new hormone, called Adamts1, is currently dominant in the process of fat deposit formation in the body.

To combat stress, bad mood, and depression, scientists recommend cleaning the house. In one of the recent studies, scientists found that cleaning the house helps a person to get into a positive mood. The experts came to such conclusions after observing two groups of people: in the first, the participants in the experiment had to clean their house every day, and in the second, the cleaning was done by a maid.

As a result, the experts noted a complete absence of depression symptoms and a less painful reaction to various stressful situations in their lives in the participants of the first group. In the second group, the participants became more irritable and restless and, as a result, developed depressive states.

According to researchers, cleaning your home yourself gives a person a feeling of novelty, which brings joy and satisfaction, and these are the emotions that help get rid of depression and better cope with various stressful situations.
