A huge number of specialists are trying to come up with a way of recycling plastic debris that has flooded the world ocean. At this time, some companies are already struggling with plastic by their methods and are developing ways that allow at least part of the floating plastic.

Adidas, which has already produced a trial model of sneakers, made entirely of garbage was not an exception.

The new sneakers included the remains of poaching networks caught by private company Sea Shepherd. According to the founder of the new company Parley for the Oceans, financed by Adidas, Kirill Gutcha, such illegally placed networks have tightened the entire seabed, which killed almost every fish floating near.

To create new sneakers, Adidas used the same technologies that were used to create wasteless footwear. Special knitting involves non-waste production, as there is no need to create patterns, as on ordinary shoes. According to one member of the Adidas Group, only the required amount of material is used to create shoes, so nothing is sent to waste.

At this stage, the company decided to use ocean garbage in its work, which swims in huge quantities, so there will be no problems with raw materials and at the end of the year the company plans to produce a whole line of shoes.

To create the sneakers, the smallest particles of plastic will not be used, but the company's specialists noted that the situation may change over time. According to Gutcha, it may take several days to collect a spoonful of the smallest plastic, and now there are no methods available to accelerate this process.

The company's main goal is to prevent the flow of plastic waste into the ocean, for example, now the specialists of Parley for the Oceans are developing methods that will help to intercept the plastic that enters the ocean.

The company noted that we need plastic, which was completely different from the usual, and with this a lot of problems. Plastic should not be in the wild, should not become a fodder of fish, etc., the only thing that can be done today is to re-invent the plastic in a new way. With the help of environmentally friendly chemistry, the organization is trying to develop a plastic that will dissolve completely in the environment. According to Gutcha, this should be a new plastic, but modern knowledge and technology practically do not allow to achieve the desired result, and the company does everything in their power for today - it cleans the ocean of existing garbage, which saves lives to millions of ocean inhabitants. Even a small piece of plastic is a saved life of a turtle, a bird or a whale.

Now the company Adidas only tries to use new material, but it is possible that garbage plastic will be included in the composition of other products, for example, used in the production of T-shirts, shorts, etc.
