A good high-grade night rest not only contributes to the restoration of strength, but partly helps to withstand cancer. This conclusion was reached by scientists from their university in Chicago, who confirmed their supposition with a number of scientific experiments. At the same time, scientists have established that it is extremely important for patients who have a tendency to develop and grow a malignant tumor to sleep for a long time, since this will help significantly inhibit the growth of cancer cells. If the sleep is interrupted several times during the night, then the cancer cells become activated, and the growth process of the growth is accelerated.

In the course of their research, experts divided the laboratory rodents into two groups. In the first group of mice, scientists regularly disturbed sleep during the first week of the experiment. Then rodents from both groups artificially transplanted cancer cells, the first group of mice scientists continued to wake up after a certain period of time, and the second group was not touched and allowed the rodents to fully rest at their usual time. At the ninth week of the experiment, malignant tumors developed in all rodents, both from the first and from the second group. Comparative analyzes and measurements were carried out by the researchers at the twelfth week of the experiment. As it turned out, in rodents from the first group (who were disturbed by sleep) malignant formations were much larger in comparison with rodents from the second group who had the opportunity to fully rest.

Scientists explain this reaction of the organism by a decrease in the body's defenses due to the inability to fully rest. In this case, the main reason for the rapid development of the tumor is not the aggressiveness of the cancer cells, but the inability of the weakened organism to resist the disease. Specialists injected cancer cells into animals in different parts of the body, which was originally conceived and was part of the research project. According to the results of the experiment, scientists determined that the most aggressive are cancerous tumors that developed in the femoral muscles. In addition, scientists were able to detect the receptor, when exposed to which the protective forces increase.

Also, in the process of the research project, scientists have established that a month of lack of sleep leads to the active growth of cancer cells, which, due to the suppressed immunity and general weakness of the body, begin to multiply at an accelerated rate. Specialists note that malignant education often deprives a person of adequate rest. In their opinion, physicians need to do their utmost to help patients with cancer to turn in a quality night rest, as this plays an important role in the fight against the disease. According to the authors of the research project, their discovery will help find an effective way to withstand cancer.

Studies conducted earlier showed that for a person both sleep deprivation and excessive sleep are equally harmful, since in both cases the probability of developing chronic diseases increases. According to doctors, a person should rest 7 - 9 hours a day.
