Osteoarthritis - Top 100

The algorithm for treating patients with osteoarthritis has its own peculiarities. If the overwhelming majority of diseases, including non-rheumatic diseases, are preceded by an outpatient or inpatient treatment, then the osteoarthrosis looks different: rehabilitation - outpatient (less often - inpatient) treatment - rehabilitation.
Treatment of osteoarthritis continues to be a serious problem, despite the fact that the list of recently used drugs has significantly increased.
Non-narcotic analgesics (for example, paracetamol) are more often used during the washing period when NSAIDs are approved. However, the results of comparative studies conducted in the 80-90s of the last century indicate that paracetamol may be an alternative to other NSAIDs
The first widely known NSAID was salicylic acid, first synthesized in 1874; soon it was found to be effective in rheumatic fever. In 1875, sodium salicylate was used for the treatment of rheumatic fever for the first time.
