In 34 years on our Earth the climate will change forever and irrevocably. Scientists suggest that the average temperature in the coldest season will exceed recorded in the warmest seasons for 145 years of development (from 1860 to 2005). This conclusion was made by scientists from the University of Hawaii, located in Manoa. Recently, the results of research scientists published in the journal Nature.
Projected climate changes in some regions will come earlier, in others a bit later, but the fact that changes affect the whole earth is a fact. Experts have calculated that in Mexico City, the Mexican capital, climate change will begin approximately in 2031. The first, after seven years, all the "delights" of the new climate will be experienced by the inhabitants of Manokwari, an Indonesian city. As scientists say, residents of tropical regions before the inhabitants of the northern hemisphere, will experience climate change. The natural changes that are taking place will hit the tropics hardest, as these areas are rich in fauna and flora, even small climatic changes will become a serious problem for the ecosystem. First of all, many species of plants and animals will disappear. Already, the animals of the northern latitudes begin to experience discomfort due to the melting of glaciers.
But not only plants and animals will experience the negative impact of the new climate, a person is also at risk: water problems, rapid spread of infections, heat stress, mental health problems due to high temperatures. Large migration of people in search of acceptable living conditions will lead to a struggle for natural resources, possible conflicts will cause geopolitical instability. In general, the life we are used to will completely change, it's only a matter of time, scientists believe.
The offensive of the "point of no return", as specialists called the inevitable climatic changes, can be postponed a little. To do this, we should closely address the problems of ecology, in particular the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. But in any case, this will only slightly pause the onset of climate change, but will not eliminate the problem completely.
The process of warming on earth is observed quite a short time, so it is impossible to say with certainty whether warming is occurring at all. The climate change on earth depends on the periodic processes that take place in the space system - the sun - the earth.
There are 4 groups of cycles that lead to climatic changes:
- superlong, occur every 150-300 million years, are associated with significant changes in the ecological situation on earth;
- long, associated with volcanic activity, can last several tens of millions of years;
- short, last hundreds or thousands of years, are associated with the ongoing changes in the parameters of the earth's orbit;
- ultrashort, which are associated with solar activity. Allocate cycles lasting 1400, 200, 90, 11 years. There is a possibility that these cycles are the main ones in climate change on earth.
However, among climate scientists there are few supporters who adhere to this theory with cycles.
