Dr. Alexander Martynchuk, the best specialist in the field of gastroenterology and dietology, spoke about the dangers posed to Ukrainians for genetically modified foods and the health features of a modern person.
According to Alexander Martynchuk, in our country the GMO is just an empty sound, mandatory labeling on the packaging "without GMOs" is a distortion of reality. Now there is a huge number of genetic modifications. In our laboratories, only a small part of such products pass tests (of a thousand modifications only 3-5 testing are tested).
Modification changes the product, gives it a new property, due to which the yield increases, the size, shelf life, etc. Increases. For example, modified potatoes are bypassed by Colorado beetles, which greatly facilitates the care of it. The leaves of the potato begin to excrete the substance that poisons the beetle. How such a substance will affect a person is impossible to say.
Currently, studies can not accurately confirm the harm or benefit of genetically modified products, since its appearance, very little time has passed. Scientists admit possible harm, but no one can give accurate data. Now we can say with certainty that eating foods with GMO content increases the risk of allergic reactions, digestive problems. It is assumed that the GMO leads to oncological diseases, but there is no scientific confirmation of this.
The modern world can not completely abandon the genetically modified products. The population of the Earth increases, so more food is needed. There are no other ways to feed people, except for genetic modifications of products.
Every year, more and more funds are allocated to health care. Basically, money is spent on purchasing new diagnostic equipment and buying medicines. But the incidence rate of Ukrainians is increasing, with every year there are more and more diseases. In our country, the main struggle is aimed at eliminating the consequences, and it is necessary to direct all the forces needed specifically to prevent diseases.
Recently, more and more people complain about digestive problems, unwell feeling. Alexander Martynchuk believes that, first of all, this leads to a way of life for residents of big cities and office workers. Constant lack of sleep, the rhythm of life, frequent stresses, mostly sedentary lifestyle, "fast" food, late and thick dinner - all this eventually leads to health problems, a person does not pay attention to the body and his condition until it's too late .
The only thing that a person can significantly affect is nutrition. Human health, in the first place, depends on genetics, there is nothing to be done, then from the environment, there is also little that can be done. And in third place - food and lifestyle. Nutrition is a very strong impact factor. The ancient Greeks even subjected a person to food torture - two weeks of punishment were given nothing but red wine and red meat. As a result, the person started terrible pains in the whole body, developed gout, which was provoked by a large content of urea and purine in the body. People who suffer from gout are not always helped by strong narcotic painkillers.
Varied food is very important for a modern person. Each product has its own set of vitamins and trace elements. If you constantly eat the same or often eat fast food, and a person begins to experience a deficit in some vitamins. In this case, the body can not work at full strength, which leads to disease.
