The American Medical Journal recently published information that the results of joint research by specialists from Western Europe and Asia confirmed the benefits of daylight. Scandinavian scientists believe that daylight can be used to prevent nearsightedness in both young children and adults.
The results of the studies once again confirmed the fact that outdoor walks should be present in the daily routine of each person's day. Previously it was believed that the time spent in the fresh air is useful for studying the environment and the overall development of the child, but recent studies have proven that staying on the street can favorably affect health and sight in particular.
Scientists from Taiwan conducted a series of experiments, which involved more than three hundred children of primary school age. For the duration of the experiment, the students were divided into two equal groups. For the children from the first group, the researchers proposed to conduct half of the lessons, group sessions and breaks in the open air, in the schoolyard. Children from the second group spent all school hours and changes in the room without leaving the street. In addition, there were no differences in the situation: the children ate the same food, attended the same lessons and group classes, did not use vitamins and any food additives.
Before starting the experiment, the specialists checked each schoolchild's eyesight in order to compare the results after the end of the school year. After the ophthalmologists re-examined the vision and compared the results of the indicators, physicians could draw conclusions about how the environment and the environment can affect the health of schoolchildren. The results of the experiment showed that daylight has a favorable effect on the eyesight of children and is necessary to maintain eye health.
The results of the examination showed that those children who spent a lot of time outdoors, improved their vision, many pupils disappeared myopia. Those children who spent all their time in the room were deprived of daylight, they began to see worse: during the school year, the visual indicators dropped noticeably, in 40 people the diagnosis was "short-sightedness".
Asian ophthalmologists devote a lot of time to research, which in the future will prevent the deterioration of vision. More than eighty percent of children under the age of 15 suffer from myopia, so specialists from Asia are struggling for the health of the younger generation.
At the moment, researchers can not explain why sunlight can affect the sight of a person, but in any case, it is worth giving enough time to walk in the fresh air and stay under daylight. In our time, short-sightedness is a disease that affects people of different ages and it is important to use every opportunity to avoid deterioration of eyesight.
