At present, every year you can see the consequences of the unfavorable and even pernicious impact of human activity on the state of wildlife. The environment becomes a real victim of economic development: animals die, forests are cut down, reservoirs dry up. Southeast Asia is a region where this problem is particularly pronounced.

Over the past few years, Indonesian ecologists have fought for stopping deforestation of tropical forests. On the territory of Indonesia is the production of one of the largest paper suppliers in the world. Over 30 years of operation, the company cut down more than 2 million hectares of forest, but at the moment the company's executives pledged to stop the destruction of the forest and use the empty lands again. Due to the deforestation of tropical forests, a large number of local animals appeared under the threat of death: monkeys, tigers, elephants. Environmentalists believe that a step that a large company is ready to undertake will inspire smaller enterprises, and they will also suspend the destruction of the forest.

One of the most pernicious consequences of human development is the deforestation of the tropical forest. Experienced biologists claim that some species of animals disappear from the face of the earth even before scientists have time to study them. Without the green forests, the existence of many animals and birds becomes impossible. As an example, scientists singled out a rhino bird, whose representatives are getting smaller every year.

Asian forests are the place where biologists constantly find new species of insects and small animals. But the nature protection authorities receive complaints from scientists that they do not have time to study in detail new copies because of their soon disappearance. Statistics say that over the past 20 years, several sites of the forest have been destroyed each year, over an equal area of a small European country, for example, Belgium or Denmark.

The process of deforestation can not be completely stopped: the population of developed countries is increasing, therefore, the area for new buildings and new industrial territories is needed. But in any case it is important to keep balance, because if you cut down the Asian rainforests completely and build up the land by tourist hotels, tourists will soon stop visiting formerly exotic countries: people are more interested in observing wildlife, rather than looking at the stone walls of luxury buildings.

Some countries in Asia, for example, Vietnam, have banned massive deforestation, and the government is very unfriendly towards poachers.

The damage that a man inflicts daily to living nature is not only the destruction of the forest. Local residents of tropical Asian countries refer to many representatives of the animal kingdom as toys that can entertain tourists. In the local market you can see such a variety of dried insects, which you will not find in the most complete encyclopedia. Many species are not listed in the Red Book, so actions are considered quite legitimate, but scientists suspect that some specimens may not even be known to science.

One of the most popular tourist attractions is snake surveillance. True, almost no one thinks that because of the constant catching and poor conditions of detention, some kinds of snakes are on the verge of total extinction.
