Cherry is an effective cure for gout

At the moment, there are many options for treating gout, but science does not stop looking for new ways to treat gout, because effective funds have not yet been found.
However, there is good news, it turns out, cherry is a real find for people suffering from gout. A new study of scientists from the American College of Rheumatology shows that eating cherry fruits in combination with drugs that reduce the level of uric acid reduces the risk of gout attacks by 75%.
The team of scientists, under the guidance of Professor Yuking Zhang, during the year, monitored the health of 633 patients suffering from gout.
Patients were interviewed, during which experts found out when they had a disease, what symptoms were detected and what drugs the patients took.
The age of the experiment participants was 54 years, 88% of the subjects were European, 78% were men. 35% of patients used fresh cherries, 2% - cherry extract, and 5% combined both.
The experts recorded 1247 attacks of gout during the entire observation period. Most patients complained of pain in the joint of the big toe - 92%.
"Our findings suggest that patients who included cherries in the diet, whether fresh or extract of these fruits, felt much better. Attacks of pain decreased, and the increase in the amount of cherries consumed up to three times for more than two days, shows a reduction in the risk of outbreaks of pain, "- comment the results of the study scientists.
However, as it was found out, further increase in the dose did not improve the already available results. But the already obtained effect persisted, even if the patient stopped taking medication.
Experts recommend not to abandon the standard methods of treatment, but at the same time include in your diet a cherry, which will provide an additional protective effect.
