Lack of sleep threatens with stroke

Those who sleep less than 6 hours a day, risk getting a stroke, scientists have found. At the same time, even perfectly healthy people are at risk. During the study, scientists from Alabama for three years watched over 5000 patients aged 45 years to retirement age. Participants in the experiment were divided into five groups, depending on how many hours per day they slept. They were asked to report their health every six months.
It turned out that people who slept less than six hours a day were more likely to experience symptoms such as numbness or weakness on one side of the body, dizziness, loss of vision, or a sudden inability to express themselves orally or in writing.
Scientists have concluded that lack of sleep affects the risk of stroke more than age, weight and high blood pressure.
