The decision to admit a child without a specific set of vaccinations to an educational institution is made in each individual case by the head of the educational institution.

"Parents are warned that in case of an increased epidemic situation a child without certain vaccinations becomes a threat both for herself and for surrounding children, and therefore they are offered to take such a child out of the school for a period of increasing epidemiological situation," the press service noted. Departments.

According to Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases", admission of children to educational, training, health and other children's institutions is carried out with the appropriate certificate from the health care institution where the child is under control. The certificate is issued based on the medical examination of the child, if there are no medical contraindications for his stay in contact with patients for infectious diseases or bacterial carriers.

"Children who have not received preventive vaccinations according to the vaccination schedule are not allowed to visit children's institutions. If preventive vaccinations for children are carried out with violations of the established terms in connection with medical contraindications, in case of a favorable epidemic situation, the appropriate children's institution and visit it, "the Ministry of Health noted.

In the absence of this medical certificate for children who have not been vaccinated by age (in the case of children under the age of 3 who must join kindergartens), an immunological vaccination commission must be established in a health facility where a child is observed, which determines the schedule of vaccinations that are not enough for each specific child. Parents are asked for a certain time still to carry out preventive vaccinations already with a violation of the calendar of vaccinations by age, but realize the right of the child to be healthy.
