A diet that includes cereals, that is, any grain in its pure form, is a natural and healthy diet that charges a person with energy and is a real treasure trove of microelements and nutrients.
If you diversify your regular diet with whole grain products, you can say goodbye to many ailments and also get rid of the accumulated kilograms.
Of course, you won’t last long on a diet consisting only of grains, so the best addition to such a diet would be vegetables and fruits, which are rich in vitamins and microelements.
In addition to helping you lose weight, whole grains can also reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, lower blood pressure, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. And as we know, a person's mental health largely depends on their physical well-being.
Evidence of this is a study conducted by scientists in 2007, during which women consumed sprouted rice grains. Specialists found that the subjects' immune system function improved, and the level of aggression, anger, and fatigue decreased.
"We know that whole grains protect against cardiovascular disease, but we often think of the heart as a healthy heart. However, the vascular system is just as important for the brain, because our mental health depends on it. Whole grains help the body's circulatory system carry more oxygen and nutrients to the heart, which also affects the brain's normal functioning," says Dr. Cynthia Harriman.
Obstetrics and gynecology professor Wendy Trabow says eating whole grains is also very beneficial for women's health.
“Women who experience inflammatory reactions can significantly improve their physical and mental health by consuming whole grain products,” the professor comments.
A balanced diet that includes whole grains, nuts, beans, fruits and vegetables is one of the necessary conditions for physical and mental well-being.
