Championship in the sauna
This paired competition was born in 1999 in Finland. According to the rules, only healthy adults are allowed to compete. The essence of the championship is to stay in the steam room for as long as possible. But it's not so simple. Participants begin to compete at a temperature of 110 degrees Celsius, every 30 seconds a liter of water pours out on the heated stones. To sustain this is not everyone's power, or rather very few. Unfortunately, in 2010 the race for victory led to tragic results: already in the final of the contest, when the new Siberian Vladimir Ladyzhensky died of severe burns. His rival, Finn Timo Kaukonen, survived, but also ended up in hospital with severe burns.

World Championship on freediving Vertical Blue
This competition is held in the Bahamas and attracts the best freedivers in the world. Participants do not take courage, because they have to fight against the impulse to swallow the air, and risk losing consciousness, diving to great depths. William Trubridge, Natalia Molchanova, Martina Stepanek - these people boldly look into the face of the elements, and she checks them for strength.
Competition of the Dinka tribe (Sudan)
Each of us knows what overeating is, especially on holidays, but the Dinka men can use their own example to show how you can overeat. Every year, young men of this tribe stuff their stomach to failure, and this does not happen at once - men eat a few months and try to limit their activity to the maximum, so as not to lose calories. They look like they swallowed a watermelon. At the end of the period of preparation for the competition, participants creep out to the center of the "arena", leaning on the sticks. Then the tribe assesses the success of each and chooses the most fattened participant who has grown the largest belly. According to the contestants themselves, the threat of death is not frightening them, because to die in this way for them is considered an honor.
Competition Hold Your Wee for a Wii
California radio station KDND in January 2007 held a morning show called "Hold Your Wee for a Wii". Its essence was to drink as much water as possible and at the same time to refrain from visiting the toilet. The most stable among the participants was the mother of three children, 28-year-old Jennifer Strange, who mastered 7.5 liters of water and never for the entire contest did not visit the ladies' room. However, this heroism led to a sad consequence - the whole next day she was tormented by a headache, and in the morning she passed away. The doctors stated death due to water intoxication of the body. As a result, the show was closed, and the leaders were fired.
Free soloing
Free Soloing means free climbing. This term means that the climber does not have any equipment and if he breaks, no one will help him. It would seem that such an extreme sport can not have many fans consciously going to death, but this is not so - lovers of thrill are more than enough. Another feature of this deadly occupation is that the level of difficulty in climbing must be certainly lower than the real possibilities of the climber. Unfortunately, many exaggerate their strength, which leads to death.
