Disorders of circadian rhythms in the donor can lead to rejection of the transplant. Disorders in diurnal rhythms against the background of operational stress worsen the blood supply of the transplanted organ.
To conduct a successful transplantation, it is necessary to take into account a number of parameters, and the blood group is only the most obvious one. American scientists from the Medical University of Georgia reported that for successful transplantation it is necessary to check the biological clock of the donor and the recipient. If one of them circadian rhythm is broken, this will greatly increase the risk of postoperative complications.
The study was conducted in mice, and consisted of transplanting arteries between mice with a disturbed daily rhythm and healthy animals. The results of the study showed that the arteries of a healthy animal normally took root in the body with an abnormal circadian rhythm, and if the vessels of the animal with the knocked down daily rhythms fell into a healthy body, signs of atherosclerosis were fixed in them in a few weeks.
It should be noted that the narrowing of the walls of blood vessels, resulting in a violation of blood supply to the transplant - a key problem in transplantology. Therefore, the study allows scientists to take into account additional parameters for organ transplantation in order to avoid such complications.
The authors recommend all patients before the operation for the presence of sleep disorders, such as insomnia and sleepwalking.
