Days without sleep cause in the brain special chemical processes that contribute to the development of mental disorders, through two sleepless days there is a change in the hormonal background, the violation of neural connections, more than 72 hours without sleep lead to the destruction of brain cells. But before prescribing medicines, a specialist will recommend changing some habits - try to lie down and get up at the same time (preferably fall asleep until midnight), do not use alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, drinks with energy supplements, sweet and heavy food for digestion (acute, fatty), do not smoke. Also, to improve the quality of sleep, a walk in the fresh air is recommended, but it is better to refuse from heavy physical exertion.
Of no less importance is comfort during sleep - the bed and mattress should be comfortable, bed linen is better to choose a cotton, pleasant to the body, the air and the temperature in the room should be comfortable.
