American scientists have developed a new brain map, which today is the most detailed. As a result of the work, the researchers discovered new departments of the brain, which were not even previously suspected, so a new job could be a breakthrough in medicine.
The new work of scientists has made it possible to study the human brain more deeply - this is an amazing and still full of mystery organ, despite outstanding achievements in science and medicine.
The scientific group especially noted that the created model of the brain had uncovered earlier unknown departments (total 97), which could open new opportunities in the treatment of incurable brain diseases and better understand the functioning of this body as a whole.
For decades physicians had fairly accurate maps of the work of the whole organism and of certain organs (nervous, digestive systems, blood circulation, etc.), but the brain has not been studied sufficiently to date. But the Americans corrected this gap and created a detailed map of the human brain, which includes, among other things, areas that were not known before.
The new data will help to find out how the gray matter evolved, it is better to investigate the influence of certain areas of the brain on the development of a particular disease. Also, according to scientists, the new information obtained will help make neurosurgery exceptionally accurate.
A new study made it possible to divide the cerebral cortex into separate areas (180 in total), which were almost 2 times greater than was established in previous studies, usually based on the study of the brain of corpses (study of brain tissue under a microscope). A new study is based on the scanning of the brain of young volunteers (men and women without any diseases and deviations), this approach allowed to develop a program that recognizes the "prints" of individual zones on brain scans.
The brain is a complex organ of the human body, which is studied by scientists from different countries. For example, recently in Canada, a team of scientists has established a new kind of communication between brain cells. By results of the work, scientists have noted, that neurons can emit photons, and it can mean that our brain is the most powerful quantum computer. According to neurobiologists, photons appear as a result of an oxidative reaction and are capable of transmitting information faster several million times, in comparison with conventional electrical pulses.
In their work, researchers took into account the fact that the temperature of the human body does not affect the propagation of light, so this method of information transfer is the most optimal. According to scientists, the human brain can create quantum networks that connect individual cells. In the model created by Canadian scientists, myelin sheaths that cover the nerve cells participate in the transmission of waves. According to some experts, in theory such a neural connection in the brain can be associated with telepathy.
