South Korean scientists from Kachon University have established a connection between the size of a man's penis and the difference in the length of the index and ring fingers, LiveScience reports.

As the publication notes, 144 men over 20 years old took part in the study, all of them were admitted to the university for urological surgeries. During the intervention, all volunteers had their penis length measured in a relaxed and erect state, MedNovosti reports.

Scientists have established that the length of a relaxed penis ranged from 4 to 12 centimeters, with an average of 7.7 centimeters. In an excited state, the length varied from 7.5 to 17 centimeters, with an average of 11.7 centimeters.

The difference in length between the index and ring fingers of the volunteers ranged from 0.88 to 1.12 centimeters, with an average of 0.97 centimeters. The smaller the difference, the longer the erect penis.

Scientists explain this by the regularity that the smaller the difference between the index and ring fingers of a man, the greater the impact of the male sex hormone testosterone he was exposed to in the prenatal period and the greater the receptor density for such hormones. At the same time, the growth of the genitals is directly dependent on the level of sex hormones.

The results of a study conducted by the Australian National Agency for Health and Welfare on the average penis length of men from different countries around the world have been published online.

The top five in the list of owners of the most impressive genitals are occupied by men from the Democratic Republic of Congo - according to them, the members here average up to 17.93 cm. Ecuadorians can boast of penises of 17.7 cm, and this is based on honest measurements, not unfounded assertions. Residents of Ghana took third place, telling researchers that the average penis there is no less than 17.3 cm.

In addition, a person's success in the financial business can be predicted by the length of his fingers, scientists believe. Researchers at the University of Cambridge have found that among London City traders, those whose ring finger is longer than their index finger earn the most money.
